Al tratarse de una ciudad multicultural, multirreligiosa y multinacional, Sarajevo tiene una gran cantidad de historias hermosas e impresionantes que contar. Esta visita a pie le proporcionará información sobre todos los aspectos de la vida en Sarajevo, en la actualidad y en épocas pasadas. Se encontrará con una encantadora mezcla del legado otomano, austrohúngaro y moderno, incluidos arquitectura, prácticas de la vida, gastronomía, objetos religiosos, costumbres comerciales, etc. Conozca la "pequeña Jerusalén" y pruebe el agua más fresca, pura y potable en todo el mundo: si lo hace, definitivamente volverá a Sarajevo.

Itinerario
El primer monumento en la excursión es la iglesia católica más grande en Sarajevo, la Catedral del Corazón de Jesús. En la plaza delante de la iglesia damos normalmente una breve introducción y un poco de información general sobre la ciudad y el país, la cultura, la situación económica y política, la tradición, etc. Echaremos un vistazo al interior de la catedral, escucharemos una historia sobre ella y estaremos listos para irnos.
Cuando lleguemos a la entrada del Museo de los Judíos, su guía le hablará sobre la vida del pueblo judío en Sarajevo a través de la historia y la actualidad. Los judíos sefardíes han vivido en Sarajevo durante siglos, por lo tanto, hay mucho que aprender sobre la comunidad judía en nuestro país. La historia sobre un libro (manuscrito) del siglo XIV, todavía preservado en Sarajevo, seguramente le sorprenderá. Un punto destacado pequeño de este lugar es la línea Sarajevo Meeting of Cultures (Encuentro de Culturas de Sarajevo) que representa las influencias del este y oeste en nuestra arquitectura, religión y cultura.
"Encuentro de culturas de Sarajevo", es el mensaje en la calle Ferhadija, cerca del Bezistan de Gazi Husrev Bey. Este es el lugar donde se fusionan dos culturas dominantes que alguna vez dieron forma a Sarajevo.
La Mezquita Gazi Husrev-Beg es la más grande de Sarajevo y al mismo tiempo el monumento más representativo de la arquitectura otomana. Está situado en el corazón del casco antiguo. Desde el hermoso jardín frontal de la Mezquita Gazi Husrev-Beg podrá ver la torre del reloj y otros monumentos religiosos en torno a ella que también son dotaciones de Gazi Husrev-Beg.Nota: visitantes tienen la opción de visitar el interior de la mezquita. Solo la entrada al jardín es gratuita.
El Sebilj es una fuente de madera de estilo otomano situada en el centro de la plaza Baščaršija en Sarajevo, construida por Mehmed Pasha Kukavica en 1753.
Calle calderero. Disfrute del aspecto auténtico de la calle que se ha conservado durante siglos. El oficio calderero aún vive en esta calle.

Puente popular con Spite House cerca. Debido a la terquedad del propietario, la casa pasó a ser conocida como la Casa del Rencor. Hoy en día, es un popular restaurante nacional y un sitio de patrimonio histórico y cultural protegido.
La Mezquita del Emperador es la mezquita más antigua de Sarajevo y una de las más antiguas de Bosnia y Herzegovina. Se presume que Isa Bey Ishaković, el fundador de Sarajevo, hizo construir este lugar de culto poco después de la fundación de la ciudad en 1462 en honor al sultán Mehmed II "el Conquistador".
También conocido como Principov Most es el lugar donde Gavrilo Princip, que se encontraba a pocos metros de este puente, asesinó al archiduque Francisco Fernando y a su esposa, Sofie. Este incidente, conocido como el Asesinato de Sarajevo, provocó el inicio de la Primera Guerra Mundial.
El bezistán (bazar cubierto) de Gazi Husrev-beg es uno de los bezistán conservados en Sarajevo del período otomano. Construido en el año 1555 en Baščaršija, Bezistán sigue cumpliendo su función: el comercio.

We had the chance to join the walking tour without booking in advance. We were at the square when we saw someone holding a Free Walking Tour umbrella, so we asked if we could join, and luckily we could! It was one of the best walking tours I have ever been on. Very interesting from start to finish. Our guide, Adnan, explained everything in such an easy and pleasant way that it was effortless to follow along. I didn’t get bored for a single moment. He also answered many of our questions and curiosities with patience and enthusiasm. Joining this tour was definitely a great choice. I’ve joined walking tours in other cities before, and honestly, some of them were disappointing because they didn’t reach the same level as this one. I highly recommend it!

We were fortunate to do this tour with the immensely erudite Adnan. Sarajevo is a city best experienced by walking and we covered the city’s history from the Ottomans to the Habsburgs and the siege of the 1990s. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting - we did it on our first day and it was very helpful for orienting ourselves.

We had a great tour guide (Adnan) who spoke very good English. During the tour we learned a lot about the historical and cultural elements of the city: for example, something about copper craftsmanship, the roses in Sarajevo or famous poets and thinkers. It was a good and balanced mix of everything. My personal highlight was when we went to a "workshop"/shop for copper products and were able to watch the production there. Highly recommended!
