La visita guiada permite a los visitantes conocer la evolución de la ingeniería militar en Italia desde los siglos XIII al XVII. Visitar el interior de los baluartes es como adentrarse en las "entrañas" de las murallas de Lucca que, dicho sea de paso, nunca se utilizaron con fines defensivos. Las inmensas bóvedas de ladrillo de las galerías, construidas con el propósito de ocultar los pesados cañones de bronce, son espectaculares e impresionantes.

Las murallas de Lucca son una realidad única en lo que respecta al urbanismo y la arquitectura europeos. Construidos durante el Renacimiento, hoy en día son un ejemplo destacado de la fortificación italiana. El itinerario propuesto consiste en caminar sobre las murallas y también visitar su interior para descubrir las galerías y salas que se encuentran en su interior, recientemente restauradas. La restauración ha devuelto uno de los monumentos más preciados a los habitantes de Lucca y ha hecho que el traslado del interior de la ciudad al exterior sea sencillo y muy sugerente.

Excellent tour to learn about the history of the medieval walls of Lucca and how they evolved from centuries ago. Participants will discover what is underneath the great walking paths of Lucca and experience walking in the tunnels below.
This was an excellent and fun tour of Le Mura of Lucca. Paola was friendly and very knowledgeable. Impressive guide!
We visit this lovely old town after volunteering the Parkrun. We walked around this old medival town & visiting some old churches. Lucca is surrounded by old city walls with plenty of shops & cafe. Worth a visit for a day

Paola was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her city and explained how the history of Lucca is the history of its walls, first built in Roman times, reinforced and expanded in the Middle Ages, and rebuilt in the Renaissance in their present form. Now, when I look at the walls, I feel a special affinity for Lucca.
Very interesting experience with the guide Nadia talented and very prepared that has satisfied many of our curiosity.
The Lucca Wall is a very interesting subject, but a bit dull hiking, where the guide for a large part read the boards that were set on the walls inside the wall. The tour also got a bad start as the guide was late, so more participants had left when she arrived.
Wonderful tour with a very experienced guide who explained the historical significance of the walls to Lucca. Highly recommend.

Good afternoon, We suppose you weren’t at the right meeting point because you wrote “you were left in the cold under the rain “. Our meeting point is inside the Information Center. The tour took place with 2 persons . We are sorry that you didn’t see the colleague Paola who was scheduled on the tour. She left the Tourist information at 10:15 with the 2 clients and nobody else was there waiting for the tour and nobody called us from the Tourist information to inform us that somebody was waiting there for the tour. We didn’t receive your e-mail . Obviously you can ask for the refund. We are sorry for this inconvenient and hope to welcome you back in Lucca.
