Banganga Walkeshwar Walk está flanqueado por una calle estrecha bordeada de templos, casas y dharamsalas (casas de descanso religiosas). Forma la ruta del parikrama sagrado, un paseo a pie alrededor del tanque, que los hindúes creen que tiene inmensos beneficios purificadores. También hay un dhobi ghat, que es la lavandería al aire libre más famosa de Mumbai.

I attended the Banganga walk organized by Khaki tours on 10th July. It was a great experience visiting a place in Mumbai where it seems like time has stood still. The surroundings around the Banganga tank haven't changed much since the last 100-150 yrs. It still resembled the pictures which were taken a century ago. Even the lifestyle of people in that area hasn't caught up with the hustle and bustle of rest of the Modern Mumbai. You could feel a slow and calm pace that's inherent in this area. Overall an enriching experience.
