Ubicada sobre el océano Atlántico y el río Bou Regreg, la Kasbah de las Udayas es uno de los monumentos más pintorescos de Rabat. Esta fortaleza histórica, que data del siglo XII, es famosa por su ambiente tranquilo, sus estrechas calles azules y blancas y sus impresionantes vistas panorámicas. Caminar por la Kasbah se siente como entrar en un encantador pueblo costero, donde la historia, la arquitectura y la vida diaria se mezclan maravillosamente.
Situados dentro de la Kasbah, los Jardines Andaluces ofrecen una escapada tranquila del bullicio de la ciudad. Diseñados en estilo árabe tradicional, estos exuberantes jardines cuentan con naranjos, flores de colores, fuentes y pasarelas con sombra. Es el lugar perfecto para relajarse, tomar fotos y disfrutar del ambiente tranquilo de uno de los espacios verdes más hermosos de Rabat.
Marina Rabat es un moderno paseo marítimo que se extiende a lo largo del río Bou Regreg entre Rabat y Salé. Con sus yates, cafeterías, restaurantes y pintorescas pasarelas, ofrece impresionantes vistas al río y un ambiente agradable para pasear. Representa el lado moderno de Rabat, donde la vida contemporánea se encuentra con el entorno tradicional.
La Torre Hassan es el monumento más emblemático de Rabat y un poderoso símbolo del pasado imperial marroquí. Construido en el siglo XII, estaba destinado a convertirse en el minarete más alto del mundo, pero la construcción nunca se completó. Hoy en día, la torre está rodeada por cientos de columnas de piedra, creando un impresionante sitio al aire libre que refleja la grandeza de la dinastía almohade.
Frente a la Torre Hassan, el Mausoleo de Mohammed V es una obra maestra de la arquitectura que muestra la mejor artesanía marroquí. Decorada con intrincados mosaicos, mármol tallado y un techo de madera de cedro bellamente esculpido, alberga las tumbas del rey Mohammed V y sus hijos. Chellah es un antiguo yacimiento arqueológico que combina ruinas romanas y estructuras islámicas medievales, situado dentro de jardines tranquilos. Ofrece a los visitantes un viaje fascinante a través de diferentes civilizaciones mientras disfruta de un entorno tranquilo lejos del ruido de la ciudad.
El Palacio Real es la residencia oficial del rey de Marruecos y un símbolo de la monarquía del país. Si bien la entrada está restringida, los visitantes pueden admirar las grandes puertas, la impresionante arquitectura y los guardias reales. El palacio refleja la elegancia, autoridad y tradición del patrimonio real marroquí.
La Medina Vieja es el corazón vibrante de la Rabat tradicional. Sus estrechas calles están llenas de mercados locales, talleres artesanales, cafeterías y edificios históricos. A diferencia de las medinas más concurridas de otras ciudades, la medina de Rabat ofrece un ambiente relajado y auténtico, lo que la hace ideal para descubrir la vida cotidiana marroquí, comprar recuerdos y degustar sabores locales.

I had the pleasure of being welcomed and driven in a tuk-tuk by Mr. Hossam, and I can only warmly recommend him. He is a very good driver who knows his vehicle perfectly, which makes the ride particularly smooth and reassuring. In addition to being an excellent professional, he is a person of immense kindness, pleasant and deeply caring. He took great care of us throughout the journey, even going so far as to spontaneously buy bottles of water for my son and me. The planned route was perfectly followed, enriched with superb explanations and even a few nice surprises. An absolutely remarkable welcome and sense of service. Brilliant Tuk-Tuk ride around Rabat. What a great way to see this surprising city! We had plenty of time to see everything - the Chellah was particularly impressive - and take photos. We did the tour at 4pm and I think it was a perfect time of day (back by 7 for dinner) as the sunlight was so pretty.

There is much to see in Rabat, so a tour with a Tuk Tuk makes sense. Hassan navigated his vehicle very safely through the traffic and the narrow alleys of the Medina and has extensive knowledge about the sights of Rabat. Since Hassan speaks very good English, communication with him was very easy. I can only recommend the tour with Hassan to everyone. 5 stars
