Gosh this was my first and only really weird experience in Egypt. Firstly my guide Samy was very unprofessional. He was constantly hitting on me and I had to pretend because I was alone as a woman in a strange village. He even tried to touch me with some inappropriate gestures. Then I tried to get his help with train tickets and he extorted money from me and kept lying about it, I couldn’t challenge him because I felt unsafe. The tour itself is nice, to see the village culture and the felucca ride and was really nice. But Samy needs to be reoriented on how to treat especially female visitors with respect and honesty.

We had an amazing experience in Aswan with Omar. He took us to the Nubian Village and arranged a beautiful felucca ride, both of which were highlights of our trip. Great tour and Omar the guide could explain a lot about Aswan and was very willing to help. Especially the time on the motor boat from Aswan to the Nubian village we really enjoyed. The tour took around 3 hours for us, so a bit shorter than listed but I think that was because we were already next to the boats so we didn’t need the hotel pick-up and drop-off and it wasn’t very busy with tourists in the Nubian village.

We enjoyed our morning visiting the Nubian village. Having been picked up from the airport, we were transported to the village via motor-boat, which was a great additional extra, which we very much enjoyed, as the scenery was beautiful, and it was very relaxing. We found the village itself to be okay, not bad at all, but not amazing. In part, this was partly down to us, and wasn't the fault of the tour - we didn't particularly want to be sold things in the shopping street, and were nervous about sampling the tea having had dodgy stomachs earlier in our trip. Our guide was friendly, and kindly took some photos of us. I felt we could have had a bit more information about the Nubian people and what life was like: we had to ask questions to prompt discussion. We very much enjoyed the chance to try learning a bit of Nubian in the local school though! After we finished in the village, we had booked the additional felucca option, which was a very relaxing hour. The felucca captain was attentive, and gave us the chance to try steering the boat, which was good fun! All in all, it was a good morning, and I'm pleased we visited.

Just great. Really good communication, unlike some other trips we’ve done. Less that half the price our official tour wanted AND with a felucca ride which was so much fun. Our guide Omar was lovely. We felt very well looked after. After the trip, he took me and my son into Aswan to help us find a local team football shirt - we never would have found it without him. He looked genuinely surprised when I gave him another tip for his help.

I had a very pleasant experience with Inspired Egypt Tours. The tour felt personal and well thought out. I was taken to a Nubian village, which was beautiful, and I had the opportunity to visit a local home and learn more about the culture. I was also offered mint tea, which was a lovely touch and really added to the experience. After that, we went on a felucca boat ride along the Nile, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. It was peaceful, scenic, and something I will always remember. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable experience, and I truly appreciated how authentic and relaxed everything felt.
