Michel picked us at our hotel and drove us to Vimy Ridge in the morning and Beaumont Hamel in the afternoon. He spoke very good English and when he spoke French, he spoke slowly enough that we understood him pretty well. He let us practice our tres rusty French on him. Michel provided a lot of information about local sights and history. He was able to locate the cemetery where my wife’s great uncle was buried. All in all, we were very satisfied with the day’s outing.

Michelle was not just a driver. He has a wealth of knowledge about VIMY, the surrounding cemeteries, and so much more. On our way back we went a different way to see another village. My partners hip was bad and he was willing to come back to drive him to the monument. He found a lift there on site. But Michelle was willing to go above and beyond. Michel is an excellent driver and guide. He kept us updated to confirm our meeting place and time. He was flexible with our pick up point at the end of the Vimy tour. He is a wealth of knowledge and information about the history of the area and the towns. He even followed up with a message providing more information on the importance of Vimy in WW1.

Super convenient. Michel met us at the Arras train station, drove us to Vimy where we had the right amount of time to wander around to experience it and then picked us up and took us back to Arras (with a couple of cemetery visits along the way) in time for the train back to Paris.

I question the value of transportation verses the cost. Very knowledgeable. Expected more than just transportation. Our walking of Vimy on our own makes your heart ache for the loss of life that allowed us our freedom in Canada

Our driver/guide Michel was excellent—picked us up right on time and advised us as to what to do and what to see upon arrival at the Vimy Ridge Memorial. We took different routes to and from our destination. Michel provided a historical perspective as well as insight into the ongoing ties between Canada and France. We visited Commonwealth cemeteries and noted difference amongst the resting places of Commonwealth/French/German soldiers. Merci beaucoup, Michel!
