La isla Ošljak es la isla habitada permanentemente más pequeña del Adriático con 29 habitantes y un área de 0,39 km2. Está a solo media milla náutica de Preko. Ošljak es un ejemplo de arquitectura tradicional mediterránea, con un antiguo puerto pesquero y la Iglesia de Santa María del siglo VI. La ruta de senderismo en la isla tiene dos kilómetros de largo, pasando por un faro y los restos de molinos de viento, molinos del siglo XVI. En 1985, Ošljak fue declarado parque forestal.
Ugljan es una de las islas más pintorescas del archipiélago de Zadar, ubicada frente a Zadar, de la cual está separada por solo unas pocas millas náuticas de ancho del canal de Zadar. Esta isla siempre verde, cubierta de olivares, bahías idílicas y pequeños puertos pesqueros pintorescos, durante generaciones ha estado ligada al mar, a la navegación y a la pesca, y más de 2000 años de cultivo del olivo han dejado miles de olivos produciendo un aceite de excepcional calidad y aroma. A lo largo del lado este de la isla, hay asentamientos pesqueros y turísticos en bahías naturales, las más famosas de las cuales son Preko, Ugljan, Kali y Kukljica.

We had an amazing time with Luka! We swam in two spots - one was a very sandy beach with almost no one else around. He dropped us at Osljak Island and we walked the whole perimeter in about 30 minutes. Then we swam briefly there and had lunch at Srdela Snack in Kali, which is Luka’s favorite. He ordered us lots of fish to try! It was a great day!
