San Gimignano – El Manhattan medieval Al acercarnos a San Gimignano, la vista cambia nuevamente: contra las verdes colinas toscanas, se alzan hacia el cielo las imponentes torres que han hecho famosa a esta ciudad en todo el mundo. Símbolo antiguo de poder y prestigio, las torres de San Gimignano son como dedos de piedra que apuntan hacia el cielo y cuentan la historia de una ciudad próspera y ambiciosa en el corazón de la Edad Media. El corazón de la ciudad es la Piazza della Cisterna, pavimentada en espiga, rodeada de edificios históricos y dominada por la Torre del Diablo. Un poco más adelante, la Piazza del Duomo, con la Colegiata y el Ayuntamiento, cuenta con frescos de la escuela sienesa y una vista espectacular desde la Torre Grossa, la torre más alta de la ciudad.

I booked the private half-day tour to Chianti and San Gimignano, and it was one of the highlights of my vacation in Italy. The van was spotless and very comfortable. Shout out to our guide, Asil! San Gimignano is fascinating, our driver was very kind and when we arrived he gave us a lot of really useful information, we tasted a delicious ice cream and after visiting this beautiful city we went to the winery for the tasting and during the trip we took many photos. Sublime wine and the owner really kind and competent, thank you for this wonderful afternoon.
