Usted será recogido de su hotel en Hikkaduwa, Dodanduwa, Ginthota, Galle, Unawatuna, Talpe o Koggala y traslado para visitar OLD HOLANDÉS FUERTE GALLE. El fuerte fue construido para garantizar la protección y preservación de la ciudad de los Portugueses a principios del siglo XVI y luego fortificado ampliamente por los Holandeses durante el siglo XVII. Originalmente el fuerte era una estructura de tierra con empalizadas, una muralla y tres bastiones y un foso que lo rodeaba. Bajo el control de los Holandeses, construyeron fortificaciones inexpugnables con piedras de coral y granito y el Fuerte se parecía a un pequeño pueblo amurallado trazado con un patrón de cuadrícula rectangular de calles llenas de casas bajas con dos aguas y terrazas.
La siguiente parada es la pagoda de la paz Japonesa la pagoda de la paz en la colina Rumasalla es una de las tres estupas budistas en Sri Lanka. Las estupas son monumentos que sirven como faros de paz para personas de todas las nacionalidades y credos, y el diseño limpio y redondeado de la pagoda Unawatuna lo ejemplifica. Los visitantes pueden caminar o conducir por el camino sombreado hacia la Pagoda de la Paz y serán recompensados con una imponente estructura blanca tipo campana rodeada de estatuas pintadas de oro. Conjuntos de escalones también conducen a una pasarela que rodea el santuario que ofrece una vista de 360 grados de la selva y la bahía.
Subió hacia el verdadero destino de su excursión de un día — Jungle Beach. No hay otra persona a la vista, solo tramos gemelos de arena desierta atrapados entre el océano y Rumassala Rock. Habiendo experimentado la cojera aplastante del alma de Unawatuna, esta playa era exactamente lo que necesitábamos. Paz, soledad y naturaleza preciosa.
La pesca con zancos es uno de los métodos de pesca tradicionales más interesantes de Sri Lanka. Los registros indican que surgió justo después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Este modo de pesca se utilizó más ampliamente en toda la costa hasta el tsunami de 2004, que hizo que esas actividades cesaran temporalmente hasta los últimos años. La hermosa vista de los pescadores posados en cañas ramificadas mientras pescan hábilmente durante el amanecer, mediodía y anochecer; ahora puede ser comúnmente a lo largo de la costa sur en ciudades como Koggala.
Nuestra siguiente parada es Sea Turtle Farm and Hatchery. La incubadora dirigida por individuos justo al lado de la playa para conservar los huevos de tortuga puestos en la amplia playa que se extiende hasta los hoteles en Koggala. Aquí anidan carey, bobo y tortugas verdes.
Playa de Unawatuna – Sri Lanka Relájese en la famosa playa de Unawatuna, una de las playas de arena dorada más hermosas de la costa sur de Sri Lanka. Rodeado de palmeras y tranquilas aguas turquesas, esta bahía es perfecta para nadar, tomar el sol y experimentar el ambiente tropical relajado. Los huéspedes pueden disfrutar de tiempo libre para caminar por la costa, tomar fotos, nadar en las olas suaves o relajarse en una cafetería frente a la playa. Unawatuna es conocida por sus condiciones de baño seguras y sus impresionantes vistas al atardecer, lo que la convierte en un destino de visita obligada en el sur.

Sometimes, these reviews are about the wonderful place you visited. Other times, it is about your guide. When the two combine, you have a truly memorable excursion. To start, we had the most wonderful guide. Great sense of humor, the ability to understand when his elderly tourists were wearing out and the wisdom to put unscheduled stops into the “walk around Galle Fort.” The Japanese Peace Pagoda, the stilt fishermen (yes, we know they no longer make their living by fishing this way - they make their money off us taking pictures of them), the Kosgodda Turtle Rescue group, Galle Fort and a half dozen little places we visited because our guide said we would enjoy them (and no, they were NOT high priced tourist marts) like a Sri Lankan cemetery (because my brother is a funeral director and he loves us sending photos of cemeteries in other places). All in all, one of our best Viator tours.

We only had half a day of spare time and this private tour led by Milan was perfect! We enjoyed the walks of scenery and educational talk at the sea turtle sanctuary quite a lot. The beaches and the sea are truly breathtaking. This trip suits couples and family who'd like to travel in their own pace.

Milan was a wonderful guide! My children and I absolutely loved this private tour. Everything was organized perfectly and at a very relaxed pace, which was ideal for traveling with kids. The silent fishing experience was a real highlight for the children - my daughter was so excited to try it themselves. We also visited a turtle farm, where we learned a lot about these amazing animals and even got to see baby turtles. At the end of the day, we visited the Dutch Fort and watched a beautiful sunset. It was the perfect way to finish the tour. Milan was very kind, knowledgeable, and great with the kids. Really very good tour with a charming guide, Milan. Took us to all the good sites in the area and nothing was too much trouble. He was able to take us to an antiques shop for in a remote part of Galle and in general he was very obliging. Can recommend.

Mila the guide was very friendly, great English and very knowledgeable with a good car. I got to experience everything that’s listed, although the turtle sanctuary is a big cramped. Galle fort is amazing but I was staying there anyway so I think I could have organised the same trip locally for less money.
