Largo da Fonte en Monte es el punto de partida del famoso paseo en trineo cesta de Madeira, una tradición del siglo XIX, cuando estos trineos de mimbre servían como transporte diario hasta Funchal. Los guían dos ‘carreiros’ con trajes blancos y sombreros de paja, que usan sus botas de goma como frenos. Hay tiempo para disfrutar de la zona y tomar fotos antes del viaje opcional; los boletos de trineo cesta no están incluidos y deben pagarse directamente a los operadores oficiales.
El casco antiguo de Funchal es más conocido por calles como la Rua de Santa María, con su colección de puertas pintadas de colores brillantes, calles estrechas empedradas y restaurantes locales tradicionales. Su conductor-guía puede recogerlo en su hotel, apartamento, área del puerto de cruceros, restaurante u otro punto de encuentro acordado dentro de Funchal. Después de reservar, por favor envíe su ubicación exacta de recogida, y su conductor-guía le confirmará el mejor punto de encuentro. Virgilio is awesome! We had our tuk-tuk tour on the day we arrived and it was the perfect introduction to Funchal and Madeira as a whole. Virgilio is a wealth of local knowledge and history. Communication was excellent - contacted me through whatsapp to give advice about the toboggans in Funchal. We started a little late due to the toboggan queue but this was communicated and agreed, plus we were collected from the exact point agreed. Informative and fun, the guides took photos of us and adjusted the itinerary due to a previous recent visit, and dropped us exactly where we asked. Would definitely recommend

We had a really great tour and can definitely recommend it. Our driver was very friendly, punctual, and gave us a lot of interesting information about Funchal and the surrounding area. The tuk-tuk ride was a lot of fun and the ride with the traditional wicker sled in Monte was a real highlight. We were able to see many beautiful places and had enough time to take photos.
