Tendrá la oportunidad de visitar Sepilok Orang Utan, la oportunidad de ver de cerca el orangután en su hábitat natural. Bornean Sun bear es una instalación de rescate y rehabilitación de osos soleados que se está desarrollando en Sabah, Borneo, Malasia. Rainforest Discovery Center evolucionó de un pequeño y acogedor centro de educación ambiental (EE) en 1996 a uno de los centros de EE más populares de Sabah.

Nuestro guía turístico lo recogerá alrededor de las 8 a.m. de su hotel o aeropuerto. Diríjase a la primera parada en el Centro de Rehabilitación Sepilok Orang Utan. Fue establecido en 1964 para devolver a los "simios huérfanos" a la naturaleza. El centro estaba siendo administrado por la sección de vida silvestre del Departamento de Silvicultura, que en 1988 se actualizó como departamento del Ministerio de Turismo y Desarrollo Ambiental. Toda la administración y gestión se dio al nuevo Departamento de Vida Silvestre de Sabah. A las 10:00 a.m., diríjase a la Plataforma B, observe al pariente más cercano del hombre a 'Orang Utans siendo rehabilitado para volverse salvaje en su hábitat natural y experimente una caminata en el Bosque Díptico de las Tierras Bajas Tropicales de Borneo y luego vea un programa documental de video de 25 minutos .

Por último, visita al Rain Forest Discovery Center. Es la puerta de entrada para conocer la singularidad y la importancia de las selvas tropicales de Borneo. Situado a 23 kilómetros de la ciudad de Sandakan y no muy lejos del Centro de Rehabilitación de Sepilok, los principales puntos destacados del RDC son sus salas de exposiciones, el Jardín de Descubrimiento de Plantas, la Reserva Forestal Kabili-Sepilok, programas de educación ambiental y un pequeño lago para paseos en bote. El RDC también brinda a los visitantes la oportunidad de intimar con la naturaleza a través de su programa Nature Experience, que incluye una caminata guiada al Plant Discovery Garden, Rainforest Walk y actividades interiores / exteriores. Después de terminar el turismo mencionado anteriormente, lo dejaremos en el aeropuerto de Sandakan o en su hotel respectivo (solo en el área de la ciudad).

Ruined the trip of a lifetime, I had arranged flights from Kota Kinabalu at 06:45 in the morning, meaning a very early start for my family including my 3 kids. Just past midnight, 6 hours before our flight time, the tour operator cancelled our tour. No way to contact them, even though I had paid fully in advance and booked the trip over 2 weeks in advance. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
We had a lovely time and our driver was very helpful getting us there on time and purchasing our tickets, but honestly it would have been much more cost effective to get a Grab for the day and buy our own tickets and lunch.
We had the pleasure of having Siti as our guide on the tour. Our driver Ahmed was very friendly and picked us up from our hotel at the stated time. He then picked up Siti and from the moment we met her she was friendly, informative and a pleasure to be around. I really enjoyed chatting to her as we walked around the Ornagutan rescue, the sun bear sanctuary and the rainforest discovery centre. She also told us useful information and interesting facts. She wasn’t too overbearing and knew when to just let us chat amongst ourselves. By the end of the day we all felt very glad that we’d met her! Would definitely recommend both Siti and Ahmed, together the dream team! And of course seeing the animals and especially the orangutans close up was incredible.

We tried to contact them prior to confirm the pickup location but they did not respond . We even contacted Viator who also could not get in contact with them. On the day we waited for them to pick us up but no one came. We then contacted Viator and filed a complaint. After the complaint they finally got back to us and basically lied by saying they were waiting for us at the hotel.
Amazing tour got to see lots of wildlife with an awesome guide and driver Sitti and JaJa, Cannot recommend enough, lunch was fantastic also, a must do tour if you come to Sandakan
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and seeing the Orangutans and Sunbears was a highlight of our trip. Our guide Siti and driver Agus were excellent, both being knowledgeable, friendly and professional, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Siti has extensive knowledge of the rainforest and flora and fauna, and the work being done to preserve the animals and plants, and was more than happy to share her knowledge and insights with us. Siti is very observant and has a keen eye and was able to point out a lot of animal and birdlife that we would otherwise have missed. She was kind and patient and tailored the tour to our abilities and carefully curated the experiences and timings to ensure that we saw the maximum and had a truly memorable and enjoyable tour. All the facilities were in good condition and well maintained, and the lunch at the Visitor Centre offered a selection of local dishes and was delicious.
