Carlos was an amazing and extremely knowledgeable guide to Fatima. We were picked up in a very nice van, he had waters for everyone, taught us along the 2 hour trip from Porto to Fatima many things about the children and the apparitions. He walked to Fatima over 15 times! Once there, we attended mass, went to the chapel of the first apparition, the basilica, museum, library and then had lunch. After that we went to the homes of the children and saw the areas of where the angels appeared to the children. It was just such a memorable trip. If you go, ask for Carlos as your guide!

We traveled to Fátima from Porto. Our driver and guide Carlos was fantastic. He picked us up at our hotel in a very nice clean and comfortable Mercedes van. He brought plenty of waters and we even stopped for coffee and a bathroom break. Along the 2 hr drive to Fatima, he told so so many historical things about Fatima, the children, the apparitions. Carlos was also Catholic and had walked to Fatima from Porto numerous times! While at Fatima, we attended mass, visited the museum, the chapel of the apparitions, the basilica where the children are buried. Carlos walked with us and was a wealth of information. We had lunch and then he took us to the birthplace of the children and to the places where the angel had also met with the children. It was such an amazing day. If you want to do this tour, ask for Carlos. He is exactly what you want in a driver and as a guide!

We had a private tour to Fátima with Carlos, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. Carlos was punctual, friendly, patient, and professional. During the drive from Porto, he shared the history of Portugal and the story of Fátima in a clear and engaging way. Bom dia. From start to finish Carlos is a winner. Carlos communicated well from the beginning. He graciously picked us up in our hotel. He was courteous and made my wife and I at ease immediately. The car was comfortable. He gave us an overview of the apparition of Fatima along the way. He educated us about Portugal's culture and specifically, Porto and it's neighboring city of Gaia. Carlos exudes a pleasing personality that makes your understanding of what he is saying enjoyable. He has a great sense of humor. He knows Fatima inside out. He has a special skill that makes you remember the significance of a place, statues or any structure. We were able to attend a full catholic mass inside the cathedral- this meant a lot to us as Catholics. Walking tour of the station of the cross, visits to the little shepherds houses were an incredible experience. On the return to our hotel, Carlos did a fantastic job of educating us on the Porto wines. The next day when my wife and I joined a Douro Valley wine tour, we felt like an "expert" after Carlos shared his knowledge on different types and classes of wine. Carlos was very helpful in pointing us to the right direction as far as locating an ATM machine, visiting the Mercado de Bolhao, and giving us references for certain stores we were looking for. It was indeed an amazing experience with Carlos and we highly recommend him to others. Gratidao, Carlos. You are second to none.
