Geresh was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about the area
Thanks guys! Enjoyed having ya’ll on the boat and hope to see you again!
This was such an amazing excursion! The guide was exceptionally flexible and knowledgeable. He worked with us to reschedule when our scheduled day/time was stormy. We saw multiple dolphins and the guide was careful to avoid disturbing them. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour!
Always willing to work with my customers. That’s one of the reasons why running private trips is so important to me! Glad to have found the dolphins for you as well!
Our boat ride with Capt Gresh was the highlight of our trip! Not only did we see some dolphins but a bald eagle as well. Will definitely book again on our next trip.
See you next time and safe travels! Me and the wildlife will be here!
A private tour like this was perfect. Our group thought this adventure made our trip! Captain Geresh is a gem. He gave us the greatest dolphin experience. We watched a dolphin teaching her calf to fish plus a group of dolphins Strand Feeding. He gave us interesting history of the island and lighthouse. He gave us time for shelling too! Captain Geresh worked around rainy weather to make sure we received the full experience. Thank you Captain!
Thanks ya’ll! Enjoyed having you on the boat. Glad we had the opportunity to see the strand feeding with the dolphins. Like I said you’re some of the only people in the world to actually witness this. Thank you again!
Captain Gresh a local native was awesome and this was the highlight of our trip to Charleston! He was super knowledgeable of area, history and wildlife. He was very accommodating for us and our 1 year old golden retriever. Morris island was beautiful and relaxing. We saw numerous dolphins during the entire charter. Captain Gresh wasn’t ever in a hurry and made the trip very enjoyable. Definitely will book again. Give him a call. You won’t be disappointed. Support your original local Guy!!!
Thank ya’ll! Enjoyed having you and the sweet pup on the boat. Thank you for the feedback about being a native captain. You don’t know how much that means to those of us that were born and raised here. See you again soon I hope!
Capt Gresh did a great job with giving background and historical information on the area in general as well with covering the wildlife. It was very cool to get up close to the Morris Island lighthouse.
We had a private tour rescheduled due to weather, and our concierge gave us the incorrect new time. Gresh was kind enough to allow us to join another family on their tour. You get to hear some of his family's history in the area, see oyster reefs, dolphins, and then you are dropped off on Morris Island for around 45 minutes to look for shells, take pics etc. The boat was very clean and the boat ride very pleasant. I'd recommend wearing comfortable shoes that can get sandy and a small bag to carry your shells. Cost was 225/couple.
This was a wonderful trip! Captain Gresh is so friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife found there. Morris Island is beautiful and peaceful, and it's great that Gresh welcomed our dog on his boat. So much better having this private quiet trip rather than with a tourist group. We plan to do this again.
Spent the morning with Gresh on the Morris Island Lighthouse Eco-Tour and cannot begin to tell you what a great time we had. There’s nothing like getting a history tour from an 8th generation Charlestonian. Gresh took us for a close up of the oyster beds and a pod of dolphins, approximately 5 feet from our boat. Then he dropped us off on the island for 45 minutes to tour on our own. I highly recommend taking his tour when visiting Charleston S.C.
Thank you to everyone that took the time to post photos and do detailed reviews for this. It’s what made me book it. So, I too am returning the favor in hopes it helps another family find this awesome adventure. We were RVing at the KOA and wanted to do a fun adventure. We were two families that each have a 9 year old. It was AMAZING!!!! Gresh was a local who was passionate about Charleston, its history and his roots. We saw dolphins (moms with their babies ) and loved getting to explore that deserted beach with tons of shells, starfish and just beauty. We did the 11am-1pm which was perfect if you have kids. Right after the boat adventure we grabbed food down at a local pub and then headed back to the campsite. I love that it was just our family crew so we weren’t there stuck with any annoying people (because my old tired mom self doesn’t feel like dealing with 20year old drunks on a party boat ) This was well worth the price (I was shocked it wasn’t more expensive ) (way less expensive then any tourist trap and it was the most amazing individualized experience ever) Thank you Gresh. You rocked
