Templos de Abu Simbel construidos durante el reinado del gran faraón Ramsés II, en el siglo XIII a. C., estos dos grandes templos excavados en la roca están dedicados a Ramsés II y su esposa, Nefertari. Se consideran obras maestras arquitectónicas del Nuevo Reino de Egipto y, por lo tanto, cuando se construyó por primera vez la Gran Presa de Asuán, que inundó su ubicación original, el gobierno egipcio y la UNESCO trabajaron juntos para salvar ambos templos de la inundación. As the trip is quite long and the road is sometimes damaged and if possible return in the day because at night there are many trucks and visibility is really poor
