We booked the Bentota River Safari through Isle of Serendib for our family, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Sri Lanka! From start to finish, the organization was seamless. The hotel pickup was right on time, and our boat captain was incredibly friendly, patient, and fantastic with our kids. Gliding through the shade of the dense mangrove tunnels felt like stepping into another world. Our guide had hawk-like vision and spotted animals we would have completely missed—including water monitor lizards, sleeping baby crocodiles, fruit bats, kingfishers, and a group of monkeys along the shoreline. The boat ride was very calm and felt completely safe for the children. It was a wonderful blend of relaxation and nature adventure. Highly recommend booking with Isle of Serendib if you are visiting Bentota with family!

Isle of Serendib delivered a top-tier river safari experience on the Bentota River. The boat was clean and spacious, and the entire excursion felt relaxed and tailored to our pace rather than rushed like some group tours can be. Floating down the river under the lush green canopy of the mangroves was purely relaxing. We were lucky enough to see incredible local wildlife while taking in the stunning reflections on the water.
