Después de un café y pasteles de cortesía en el Cellarium, el pequeño cortijo medieval del siglo XIV, ingresamos a la Abadía de Westminster a través del claustro. La entrada al claustro ofrece acceso prioritario. A esto le seguirá un recorrido exclusivo con nuestro guía profesional calificado. Escuchará sobre la coronación más reciente de Carlos III que tuvo lugar el 6 de mayo de 2023, el matrimonio de William y Kate, el Príncipe y la Princesa de Gales, y también se detendrá brevemente para presentar nuestro respeto y celebrar la vida del difunto. La reina Isabel II, cuyo funeral de estado también tuvo lugar en la Abadía. Después del recorrido, ¿por qué no se une a nosotros para un vuelo en el London Eye? (si se selecciona la opción). Una obra maestra de la arquitectura, la Abadía de Westminster presenta un certamen único de la historia británica: el santuario de San Eduardo el confesor, las tumbas de reyes y reinas e innumerables monumentos a los famosos y grandes. Nuestro guía ayudará a dar vida a este notable edificio donde se han realizado 40 coronaciones inglesas y británicas desde 1066. Escuchará sobre la coronación más reciente de Carlos III que tuvo lugar el 6 de mayo de 2023, el matrimonio de Guillermo y Kate – el príncipe y la princesa de Gales, y también se detendrá brevemente para presentar nuestro respeto y celebrar la vida de la difunta reina Isabel II cuyo funeral de estado también tuvo lugar en la Abadía.
Nuestra primera experiencia en la Abadía de Westminster, una de las joyas de la corona de Londres y una visita obligada para cualquier visitante, es en el sótano medieval del siglo XIV. Originalmente utilizado por los monjes benedictinos para almacenar alimentos y bebidas, el Cellarium es ahora un restaurante único, y nos detenemos aquí para tomar un refrigerio. Un corto paseo pasando por las Casas del Parlamento y el Big Ben, disfrute del paseo en el London-Eye (si se selecciona la opción de actualización). Su boleto de vía rápida le permite evitar la cola estándar y ahorrar tiempo durante su visita. Very informative guide and the tour was great. We bought the London Eye with this ticket and it got us a fast track on to the eye. Was great because the line was really long
Frank was exceptional. Very informative and engaging.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and headsets were clear to listen to her stories. Of course, old buildings are hot in the summer. Bring a personal fan for comfort. Priority access to London Eye is a must add on. We waited about 15 min to get on in the fast track line but the regular line looked miserable in the hot sun.
We met Fran,our guide in the Westminster coffee shop for coffee and pastries before the tour began. We had a group of 11 people. Fran was engaging, polite, fun and full of information about Westminster Abbey. My girls are 16 years of age and they loved the tour, the science corner and the poets corner, it was fabulous. Would highly recommend Fran who also has Irish connections and was thrilled to chat and engage with everyone in the group. He ensured we asked questions whenever we liked and he answered them all with gusto. Great job. Thank you. Sue
Anna tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. We met for coffee/tea / pastries before the tour started. Wonderful to get preliminary info & headsets while seated. Even though it was crowded she waited for everyone in her group to catch up. Digital headsets were very clear. Since we were seniors, Mesna met us at the beginning and returned to walk us to the London Eye. She helped us get upgraded tickets for the Aquarium. She pointed out other things to do like theater etc. it was a well organized tour all around.
Frank was very thorough and kept the tour interesting and together.
We started the tour with croissants and tea. No refills on the tea and they only had 3 croissants for 6 people. It was your average croissant. No other items offered. We then proceeded to do tour Westminster Abbey. Our guide provided humor and history of the people buried in the Abbey. It was hot inside and very crowded. Many people do the walking tour and are not aware of their surroundings making it hard to follow our guide. All in all I enjoyed the tour and seeing the inside.
Peter was incredible, not only was he informative on the history of the Abbey and the people that were involved with the Abbey, but he was very humorous.
The tour was well paced and Frank was a good guide.
