Gabriel was an outstanding guide in Pretoria. His knowledge of the city's history, culture, and the places we visited was truly impressive. He was friendly, professional, and happy to answer every question, making the tour both informative and enjoyable. Philippians 4 Four Travel & Tour was also excellent throughout the entire experience. They were always available via WhatsApp, responded quickly to every question, and were incredibly accommodating. Their communication and customer service were outstanding, making everything smooth and stress-free from start to finish. I highly recommend both Gabriel and Philippians 4 Four Travel & Tour to anyone visiting Pretoria.
The tour to Pretoria was a great experience. Gabriel was an excellent guide and told me a lot about the city, as well as the region and the country. The visit to the Voortrekker Monument didn’t take place because the museum was closed. Gabriel tried to find another place for us to visit—we attempted Melrose House, but it was also closed, so we ended up visiting Constitution Hill (which I recommend, just like the tour).
Pick up was 09:30 and drop off was 13:30 so not a full tour as described. It hit all of the spots but it just felt rushed at times. An example being that I had to ask the guide if I could go to the top of the Voortekkker monument, as he was already walking me out of the door. A bare minimum is to make sure you get the best views and experience, that is the point of paying for a guide rather than self guided which could be done by Uber for much less.
Had a very enjoyable and informative tour with Gabriel as our driver and guide. He was punctual and the vehicle immaculate. We saw all the main sites in Pretoria and were not rushed. recommend it highly.
It was a really interesting tour, Gabriel is a very knowledgeable guy providing an excellent insight. If you have available 4-5 hours, strongly recommended :)
Gabriel is super nice and funny. He gave detailed explanations of the spots and was patient in answering questions. He has good driving skills too!
I believe the tour is worth doing, especially considering the historical significance of Pretoria. The guide (possibly Solly--given the same Whatsapp number) and his driver were pleasant and provided a good amount of information about South Africa and the sites we visited. In particular, his guidance at the Voortrekker Monument was excellent—he was engaging, informative, and clearly passionate about the site. Both he and the driver were enjoyable to talk to throughout the day. However, I was disappointed by the latter part of the tour. At the Kruger Museum, Church Square, and the Union Buildings, the guide seemed preoccupied with personal matters and was far less engaged. At the Union Buildings, I had to take the initiative—choosing where to go and asking questions—because he offered little explanation or context. As a solo traveler paying a premium rate ($126), this was frustrating and made me question the value of the tour. If not for the memorable experience at the Voortrekker Monument, I would have considered it a waste of money. By the end, I found myself thinking I might have been better off just using Uber to explore the sites on my own.
Don’t miss visiting one of the oldest buildings in Pretoria the Jan Smuts House Museum and its peaceful grounds where children can play and you can have. bite to eat . Ouma isie’s tea garden next door it’s been rated top 100 restaurants in SA.
Nice family outing experience, the kids enjoyed themselves. Bobo our tour guide from the Philippines Tours did an amazing job.
Our tour guide Victor was excellent. We could experience the city through his lens. He and the CEO of the travel company, Solly accommodated our needs. Anna
