Spectacular. Borja González is a wonderful guide; first of all, the explanations he gives show that he knows what he is talking about, and he is also a very approachable person who takes you around the sites, explaining everything and worrying about each of the people he is leading. Very professional.
Absolutely phenomenal tour with Ana Maria. It was meant to be a small-group tour but ended up being just me, and I’m so grateful that she still took the time to do the full tour rather than cancelling. She is incredibly knowledgeable about Porto’s history and architecture, and happily answered every single one of my many questions! She also went above and beyond with recommendations for places to visit, photo spots, things to do and even where to find Porto’s jazz scene. More than anything, it felt less like being on a tour and more like going for a walk with a friend who happens to know an incredible amount about the city. From the big historical events and how they shaped the Old Town, to architecture, street art and all the little details you might otherwise walk straight past, it was fascinating. By the end, Ana Maria was even giving me recommendations based on what she’d worked out I would personally enjoy. Such a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Porto — fabulous tour guide and genuinely fabulous person. Really, really enjoyed this one!
We took the tour with Almudena. An excellent guide who gave us a lot of information and great tips.
Excellent tour, very complete and super interesting. We loved the explanations and the stories told by Pedro, the guide. Highly recommended if you want to get to know Porto with a local guide.
We did a Walked with Harold. Amazing guide, he has a lot of knowledge, he gave us amazing recomendtions and the tours is breathtaking. Great views great history.
realy good experience. can't fault it. learnt and saw things we'd never have been aware. our guide was so enthusiastic she realy seemed to enjoy it.
Was very good. He was good at the history and knew so much about town. It was casual and so it was enjoyable because it was like someone familiar telling you about their town. Helped me understand the city and how the history affects its culture. I highly recommend
Natalia is a lovely and kind guide, her explanations and knowledge are great. I recomend this if you want to learnt about past history of Porto.
This is THE perfect way to start a few days in Porto as it gives you a good grounding for the city and what you might want to see if you haven't done your research. An easy downhill walk of just over two hours with lots of information and helpful tips. Our guide was superb really knowledgeable which is more than can be said for me as I've forgotten his name !!! Just a great trip. Don't forget though this is their living and your 'tip' needs to reflect their overheads
Toured with an Irish dude with an impossible to pronounce name. Great guide who gave us historical, socio-political, and geographically significant tidbits about this great city. Well-paced and thoughtful, Irish dude articulated various enclaves within the city, their juxtaposition with their neighboring enclaves, highlighting funny, and sometimes poignant and introspective commentary on the inhabitants over the centuries. Exactly what you want from a seasoned tour guide. Definitely take this tour and look for the Irish dude with the name thats impossible to pronounce.
