La Catedral de Oporto, ubicada en el corazón del centro histórico de la ciudad de Oporto, es uno de los monumentos más antiguos e importantes de Portugal. También conocida como iglesia de Santa Maria do Porto, de Nossa Senhora do Porto da Eterna Salvação o Nossa Senhora da Vandoma. Fue diseñado por Nicolau Nasoni, arquitecto de origen italiano. Dejó su huella en numerosos monumentos de Oporto y del norte de Portugal. Nasoni, a petición suya, fue enterrado aquí en una pequeña capilla con su puerta al mismo nivel que la parte superior de la escalera de doble cabezal.
Ahora es el momento de descubrir los Lodges de Vino de Oporto en Vila Nova de Gaia El vino de Oporto nace en el valle del río Duero, pero es al lado de la ciudad que le dio nombre donde envejece y adquiere el sabor que lo hace inconfundible. El río siempre se ha utilizado para transportar las barricas de vino hasta los muelles de Vila Nova de Gaia, donde se agrupan las cabañas en las que el vino envejece antes de ser comercializado en todo el mundo. Recibirá una visita guiada a un reconocido Port Wine Lodge en Gaia, conociendo la historia y el proceso de producción de este vino único. Para finalizar nuestra parte matutina del recorrido y abrir el apetito para el almuerzo, podrá degustar y probar diferentes muestras de vinos de Oporto.
De vuelta en Oporto, es hora de comer. Tendrás algo de tiempo libre para almorzar en la ciudad (no incluido), siéntete libre de pedir a tu guía algunas buenas referencias en la ciudad.
Después del almuerzo, toma tu cámara, relájate y disfruta de las vistas de Oporto y Gaia desde el río Duero. A bordo de un barco tradicional "Rebelo", navegarás a través de los 6 puentes que cruzan el río hacia Oporto.
Para descubrir Oporto por completo y su historia debes ir a Foz do Douro. Frente al Atlántico te sorprenderá una increíble calidad de vida, paseos de lo más románticos donde cada tarde el sol y el mar se funden en un clímax espectacular. Estas playas lucen con orgullo la etiqueta ecológica de bandera azul, señal de agua de mar no contaminada de alta calidad. Dé un paseo bajo la "Pérgola da Foz" construida en los años 30. Según cuenta la historia, la entonces esposa del alcalde de Oporto quedó tan encantada con la pérgola del "Promenade des Anglais" en la ciudad francesa de Niza que no podía dejar de tener otra en Oporto. Aquí se llama "Praia dos Ingleses" es un recordatorio de que los ingleses (¡y otros ciudadanos británicos!) siempre han disfrutado de una estrecha relación con Portugal.
Uno de los principales espacios culturales de Oporto, diseñado por el arquitecto Rem Koolhaas. En la rotonda de Rotunda da Boavista, a medio camino entre el centro histórico y la zona de Foz, encontramos un edificio de grandes dimensiones, atrevidamente original, que seguro llamará la atención de cualquiera: la Casa da Música. El edificio fue diseñado por el distinguido arquitecto y urbanista holandés Rem Koolhaas y fue concebido para atender un proyecto cultural innovador de Oporto 2001, Capital Europea de la Cultura.
Terminaremos nuestro recorrido descubriendo la parte moderna de la ciudad. Zona de Boavista, con el impresionante edificio Casa da Música, la avenida más grande que lleva el nombre de la zona y el parque de la ciudad.

Totally recommended! My partner and I participated in the Porto tour, and the experience was simply fantastic from start to finish. We took a tour of the city and my wife and I book. Our tour guide was 10 minutes late. We didn’t know the tour would be spoken in two Language ,in French and English. So he would explain things in one language to half the group and then explain in English the same thing. It is very time consuming our tour guide seemed disinterested at times, and he spoke very quietly, was very hard to understand. We didn’t get much detail about the city and afterwords when I looked at the itinerary, there was a few places we didn’t even go to . For lunch, I believe he took us to one of his friends restaurant and we couldn’t order anything we wanted. We had a pre-order only three specific items. The advertisement on this trip was lunch included, which made you think that lunch was paid for but it wasn’t included. Very misleading.We thenwent on a very crowded boat tour, by the time our guide showed up there , most of it wassold out so we couldn’t sit outside in the fresh air. Very disappointing, I definitely would not do the store again, and I would not recommend it to visitors.

Our guide was knowledgeable and energetic. However, the group included people speaking different languages, so much of the time was wasted. The boat wasn’t nice- more like a bus on the water. They stuffed us onto small chairs in the cabin where we couldn’t see anything. Nobody provided any narration of what we were looking at, as the guide didn’t join us on the boat.

This tour crosses all sides of Porto, Gaia and the river. We saw lots of famous sites, wine cellar at WOW, and finished with Foz visit. The lunch was good with traditional food options. People arrived 45min late which was inconvenience to the rest of us. That's after being advised to arrive 15min early. Easy to find the start location. Tour bus was comfy and the guide Daniela and driver were great. The group was half english and Spanish speaking. We find this slows thing down. Overall, great way to orient yourself to the greater Porto area.

Our tour guide, Daniela, and our bus driver, Sheila, were excellent! Daniela is so knowledgeable about the history of Porto and Sheila is a pro at driving in tight situations. They did an excellent job. I really appreciated the narration throughout the day. The tour at the World of Wine was interesting, the river boat cruise was fun, lunch was good, and the drive out to the Foz district was awesome. I'd highly recommend this tour and really had a good time.
