Great Tour

This tour was very good. We stopped at many places to take pictures. We stopped at Multnomah Falls and another falls but I can't remember the name it started with an S. We were given enough time at all the places. We stopped at Mt. Hood town for lunch. The guide did give us suggestions for lunch. The tour guide was Scott, he was very professional and informative. We also stopped to take pictures of Mt. Hood at different angles.

The best way to see the beautiful sights

We took the full day tour. Since it was raining pretty hard, some of our stops were rather quick. Our tour guide (I believe Scott) was absolutely outstanding. It is a beautiful drive through the Columbia Gorge and he pointed out many great sights. He made some stops that were not on the itinerary, the Bonneville Fish Hatchery, where we got to see Herman the sturgeon, who is 70 years old, 10 feet long and 700 lbs, the Bonneville Lock and Dam where we toured and Starvation Creek where we took a trail to some beautiful falls. We went to Multnomah Falls and our final destination was Mt. Hood in the afternoon. Scott had already advised us that we might not get to Mt. Hood as it had been snowing for over 24 hours there, but he said he would make the attempt. A lot of credit to him, about 2 miles from Timberline Lodge, we ran into a white-out but he kept trudging along and made it. Unfortunately, it was pretty much a blizzard on top so we really didn't even get to see Mt. Hood because of the snow. We only spent about 30 minutes in the lodge as the weather was getting worse, but our tour guide got us off the mountain. He was just a wonderful guide.

Combined Portland City & Columbia Gorge/Waterfalls Tour

Our morning was spent driving around the major streets in Portland and stopping at the absolutely amazing rose garden (do take time to smell the roses, but be aware of the bees), the Pittock mansion, and the Chinese Garden. The rose garden was huge! It was the most beautiful and fragrant garden I’ve even experienced and was my favorite part of the whole day. We even got to sample some blackberries we found growing near one of the gardens, a first for me! Lunch was on our own - we were lucky to be on the tour on the same day as the Farmer’s Market, and enjoyed a variety of tasty samples and treats there. Definitely recommended! Some stations even accepted credit cards. The famous, long stretch of food carts was another possibility. The afternoon was spent at the Columbia Gorge and several area waterfalls, really not that far from Portland city at all. Breathtaking natural beauty! Perfect place for memorable photos... Oregon has so much to offer: forests, mountains, waterfalls! I’m afraid of heights, but it seemed to me that you could still get a good view without going onto the viewing bridges. Our guide was Evan, and he was fantastic. He provided interesting commentary, successfully answered just about every question thrown at him, and entertained us with his great sense of humor the whole day. Thank you! Highly recommend

Great way to get overview of Portland in one day

On June 19th, we took the Full Day option with Steve as our guide. Cannot say enough about Steve. Very professional and knowledgeable. He dealt well with a very noisy child on the van. This is NOT the kind of tour that one should take a 5-yr. old child. Steve was respectful of his patrons. It was a hot long day, and we would definitely do it again!

The tour guide, Eddie, took us from our hotel in downtown Portland to the Columbia River Gorge area east of Portland. We visited viewpoints from the Portland Womens Forum State and Crown Point Vista House. Then we visited several waterfalls, including Multnomah Falls. We stopped by the city of Hood River to eat lunch. Then we visited the Bonneville Hatchery, where millions of salmons are raised and released. Eddie was a great tour guide that greatly enhanced our visits.

Our guide Steve was great. We were a bit early in the season March and the weather was a little cold and rainy. We missed out on the views of the gorge from Vista House, but it cleared up later in the day. Our priority was hiking and waterfalls, and Steve took us on some great treks with informative conversation along the way. I hope the fire damage clears up, because the road closures kept us out of a few areas that would've made the excursion even better. Highly recommend this tour.

The tour was good although by the time it was over we had seen enough of waterfalls. A little hiking would have been good. The sound system was not good for some of the trip but our tour guide produced an alternate sound system and then it was good.

Great tour! We had Sergio and he took us out all day to enjoy the beautiful waterfalls of Oregon, Mt Hood and extra little stops along the way to make the tour awesome. Great way to get out of downtown Portland area and see the beauty Oregon has to offer. Would recommend as this gives you the opportunity to hike and get outdoors.
