Thanks for a great tour. We visited the rainforest, nausori market, suva city. John was a fantastic guide.
Thank you so much for this great review
Kay Services Tours is one big rip off and it was not the reps fault (Emi,) ... She was delightful. We paid $244.35 for this tour of the PORT OF SUVA - PRIVATE TOUR. Booking reference # 1379648143. The driver (Very Unprofessional) asked us what we paid and we told him ($244-US) and he said he only gets 80 Fiji Dollars and got real angry as if it was my fault and gave us a look like we should tip him to make up the difference. We also were made to pay $20 US for the cheap little museum (which was part of the prepaid ticket)...the driver said he was done at the museum drop off and made us walk back to our Celebrity Ship (Solstice).. Gave us an angry goodbye. Left us a poor of Fiji and have no desire to ever come back. By the way the forest tour of the forest and falls was awful.... The pools looked like sewage water and everything in Suva looked unkept.
Thank you for your feedback regarding your private tour of the Port of Suva. We’re very sorry to hear about your experience with the driver and the discomfort you felt during the tour. We’d like to clarify that entry fees were not included in the tour packages. While the tour itself was part of your prepaid package, separate admission/entry charges (e.g., museum entry) can apply and are typically collected independently at the venue. That said, we understand how frustrating it is to be informed of additional costs during the day, especially when you believe an admission fee was part of what you already paid. We will review the details of your booking and the driver’s conduct to ensure the correct process was followed. Please also note that the behavior you described is not acceptable, and we will address this internally. We appreciate that you mentioned Emi as being delightful—our team works hard to provide a positive experience, and we’re sorry the overall tour did not meet your expectations. We will investigate further and follow up with the appropriate department.
Our guide Sam picked us up at the port, planned our tour with us sensibly and thus were able to make the most of our time on Fiji. He was also very prudent and patient. Thanks to Sam we had a wonderful day on Fiji and were able to enjoy our time.
Thank you for your review. It was nice to meet you.
There was confusion about where I needed to be to get picked up… had to walk out of the port area to meet driver because driver did not have permission to enter that area. Once in the car it was clear that there was no good place to snorkel anywhere near Suva and not even any beaches worth going to to swim. We went to the falls which were a couple of man made areas to catch what might just be run off? Unsure of the water source. These were a short walk through a forested area with path not suitable for people without agility. People were swimming in them and I did go in for a bit to cool off but could have done without the whole bit. We went to the museum and paid extra to go in but this was not worth paying any amount for in my opinion. The only part of the day that was memorable was the souvenir shopping but the checkout lines were extremely long and if you didn’t want souvenirs then this was probably another disappointing stop. Driver was nice and honest about the lack of things to do near Suva and told about other islands where there were beaches and more touristy things to do.
Thank you for your feedback and sorry that Suva didnt have much to offer. We would recommend to check the itineraries prior to confirming the booking We would recommend to call us in future in order to provide you with guidance.
John was an excellent driver and guide, he showed me all around Suva and nearby villages - it was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone.
We thank you for your kind words and we wish you all the best.
Mass confusion at port pick up; no one with a sign with our name or the company name. Had to ask around to find our contact. Guide was good but the expected itinerary was not followed. Since this was a private tour, we had specified what we wanted to see. However, this itinerary was not viable in the time allowed, so we saw a fraction of what we wanted. We should have been clearly informed ahead of time what the timeframes were so we could have specified our top priorities. Thus, we were disappointed in the few things we were able to see.
Dear Susan, Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent experience. We sincerely apologize for the confusion at the port and the challenges you faced during your tour. We understand that your booking was initially scheduled to arrive in Suva at 9 AM, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was changed to 11 AM and ultimately to 1 PM. This shift meant that you were only able to disembark around 1:45 PM, which significantly impacted our ability to follow the planned itinerary. Unfortunately, some of the areas of interest you wanted to visit close by 4 PM, and we had to adjust our plans accordingly. We appreciate your understanding and patience, and we will take your feedback into account to improve our communication and planning in the future. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you better next time. Best regards, Esther
John and Ester were amazing. John was extremely knowledgeable about the Fijian Culture and took us to quite a few places we would never normally have seen. We requested to visit an orphanage and they located one and arranged for us to visit. This tour was one of the best days we have had in Suva because coming by cruise ship we are very restricted by time so seeing the “real” Suva is difficult. Thanks guys for a great day!!!
Thank you so much for this review, Grand, It has been a pleasure and pure joy to have toured you, and we hope to see you back in Fiji.
As soon as you get off cruiseship you are actually inundated with locals selling their tours from 1-2 hrs and much more. Definitely haggle your costs quoted.
Bula Dear Tammy, can you please confirm when did you book your services with us? We were not able to locate any booking in relation to your review. As per the rate, we completely agree that there are differences in rates because the services are very different.
Awesome communication with the company before meeting them...We were without internet for about 10 days prior to our tour date with Peter Kay's people, so were a little concerned about meeting up. Absolutely no problems - They were there at the pier right on time! Our guide, John, was attentive to our (sooo many) questions. We were able to see the sights of the city; the museum; have as much time in the rainforest to hike and swim; and ended the day with an amazing Fijian lunch at the most unique place (suggested by John). It was the best meal of our entire trip, including our on board ship dinners! The best island day of our cross-Pacific cruise. Thank you, Peter and John, for showing us the real side of Fiji!!
Thank you so much for this review, dear Deborah, It has been a pleasure and pure joy to have toured you, and we hope to see you back in Fiji.
Had a blast hanging out with Peter and learning about the flora and fauna of the nature reserve, and of Fiji in general. Peter goes the extra mile and is engaging and genuinely interested in the people he comes across. Super fun!
Jamming in knowledge was a great experience for me, it was an immense pleasure touring you, and we look forward to seeing you one of these days.
