Para comenzar el recorrido veremos el templo de Angkor Wat y la puesta de sol allí. Este enorme templo fue construido a principios del siglo XII por el rey Suryavarman 2. Angkor Wat tiene tres niveles con 5 torres principales. Angkor Wat se ha convertido en el símbolo nacional de Camboya e incluso se encuentra en la bandera de la nación, ya que simboliza el alma del país. A continuación, visitaremos el templo de Ta Prohm, conocido como el templo de Tomb Raider, con el árbol que cubre el templo. Luego visitamos la ciudad de Angkor Thom, la Terraza del Elefante y el Templo Bayon, parada en la Puerta Sur de la ciudad de Angkor Thom. Por último, veremos la puesta de sol en la montaña Phnom Bakheng.

Vamos a ver el Templo de Bayon desde la vista exterior y dentro del templo con historia de aprendizaje a cargo de nuestro guía turístico local. Este templo es realmente famoso con las caras.
Nombrado como Tonle Oum. Esta ciudad tiene 5 puertas, como la puerta sur, la puerta fantasma o la puerta de los muertos, la puerta de la victoria, la puerta dei chhnang o la puerta norte, y la puerta de la muerte. Esta ciudad tiene 3 kilómetros por cada lado.
La montaña Bakheng está cerca del templo de Angkor Wat. Se encuentra a unos 1,5 kilómetros al noroeste de Angkor Wat. Es una montaña de templo hindú dedicada a Shiva y fue construida en el siglo IX por el rey Yasovarman I. Es el templo más antiguo del Parque Arqueológico de Angkor y es una de las atracciones turísticas más populares de Camboya. El templo está construido sobre una colina de 79 metros de altura y tiene cinco santuarios de arenisca en el nivel superior. Los santuarios están dispuestos en forma quincuncial, uno en el centro y otro en cada esquina del cuadrado del nivel. El templo también está rodeado por 108 pequeñas torres, la mayoría de las cuales se han derrumbado. Phnom Bakheng es un lugar popular para contemplar la puesta de sol, ya que ofrece vistas panorámicas del Parque Arqueológico de Angkor. También es un lugar popular para contemplar el amanecer, pero las vistas no son tan buenas como en Angkor Wat. Si visita el Parque Arqueológico de Angkor, le recomiendo visitar Phnom Bakheng al final de la tarde para contemplar la puesta de sol.

Thom was a wonderful guide, he was welcoming and friendly, spoke English very well and was very knowledgeable on his subject. We really enjoyed the tour, Thom had a very good sense of humour and we had good fun. One of our party of three had some difficulty with mobility, he adapted the tour to suit us all. Afternoon tour was hot…midday was 95*. A lot of steps & walking/hiking for us in our 70s. Sun was informative & patient.

I did the Angkor Wat temples tour by bicycle. It was fantastic. We started out from the Empress Angkor Wat Resort & Spa, rode to Angkor Wat temple, followed by Ta Prohm (aka Tomb Raider) Temple, followed by Bayon Temple then back to Empress in Siem Reap. All in all, the tour took around 6Hrs including a stop for lunch at a nice local restaurant. Distance wise it was approximately 35km of riding, all easy flat and mostly paved. I am a keen cyclist, and typically seek out bike tours when I visit places, this one was great. Besides the riding, Mr Chuop was an excellent guide. I learned a lot about Khmer history and the temples. Thom from "Travel to Inspire" tours was also great, proactively contacting me days before the tour to confirm bike size and pickup arrangements. I highly recommend this tour!

We took this amazing tour yesterday. Was fantastic, very puntual well organized and caring with details. Water and soft drinks in the car. Cold towels after the visits. Sophi, our guide, is awesome. He speaks Spanish very well. Al the time explaining the sites with high enthusiasm. 5 stars !!
