Opciones de la excursión
Itinerario

This tour was so much fun! Gianni and Marilisa were wonderful guides and made the tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum so much fun! I can’t imagine going without them. The stop for bufalo mozzarella was amazing and the lunch on Mount Vesuvius was amazing!!
Paola was AMAZING! Her knowledge was superb . Definitely need to have her as your tour guide. Navigating without a guide is a waste of money.
Loved all the history. Many parts of Herculaneum are duplicated at Pompeii. Did Herc first, so our Pompeii guide skipped some things there in favor of others. You could spend so much more time at Pompeii. Might recommend a half day at Herc and a half day on the Naples shore (and a separate day for a full Pompeii experience). But overall a great day. Private transportation for our group was really nice. Driver Paolo was great.
What a memorable day! Our guide from Roma was Paolo and he is wonderful and made things so easy for us. This is what my husband and I wanted as our time is limited in Italy and didn't want to bother with dealing with trains and navigating and all that. Not only did Paolo point out sites in Roma as we were leaving and coming back at the end of the day, he took photos for us and even drove partway up Vesuvio for the amazing view of the Bay of Napoli. The wine tasting lunch was amazing with great wines, food and a perfect view. The tours of Pompei and Herculaneum with Patrizia were informative and not too overwhelming or exhausting. There is so much to see, but we didn't feel rushed and learned new things. The bufala mozzarella tasting at the end of the day was a nice surprise as I had forgotten that was part of it! It was expensive, but for us it was part of our 20th anniversary trip and completely worth every penny. We even had a beautiful rainbow over the sky as we were getting back into Roma to top off the day! (Which Paolo made sure we saw!)
Seeing Pompeii and Herculaneum was a dream come true. Our guide and driver were both wonderful. The lunch was outstanding and the buffala mozzarella was so, so tasty. Even though the day was scorching hot, we loved every second!
I booked a private tour for my nephew and I. We were picked up promptly by our driver Paulo at our VRBO and hit the road. He gave us great details about all the landmarks and ruins that we passed along the way and gave us tips as we drove to Pompeii. He was funny and friendly, stopping if we needed him to and helping us conserve our time so that we could spend the maximum amount at our destinations. At Pompeii, our tour guide Carmella was knowledgeable and kept us moving along at a steady pace. She was patient with my picture taking and my occasional slowness; sometimes I have trouble walking. But she brought Pompeii alive for us, and we covered a great deal of ground. Our lunch and wine tasting at Cantina del Vesuvio, there on the beautiful terrace that overlooked Napoli Bay, was delicious. The wines were superb. I only wish we could’ve taken some home. Our next stop was Herculaneum and our guide, Anita was also kind, patient, and knowledgeable. She took her time with us, made a point to show us even the smallest details, and took us through the on-site museum as well. Our last stop was at a shop and farm that produced pure buffalo mozzarella. We were able to taste the cheese, and then go out to meet the water buffalo themselves! That last was an unexpected treat provided by Paulo himself. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and I highly recommend it. My one regret is that I had forgotten my wallet and we were unable to give Carmella a tip because we couldn’t stop at an ATM until after we left her. But I highly recommend her and I hope she knows how much we appreciated her work. In fact, I hope that Paulo and Anita know this too. They were all wonderful guides, and we felt well and truly informed and entertained the entire day.
Amazing experience from the comfortable ride to the knowledgable and fun guide…much better experience than a group with other people or trying to take a train down from Rome.
A must do! A wonderful day seeing the ruins with a lovely lunch and wine tasting stop near Mt. Vesuvius. We had an excellent driver (Gianni) and amazing on site guide (Marie Elyse). Definitely a splurge but you won’t regret it- from the minute of pick up until we returned everything was 5 star. Thank you!!!
This was an incredible tour. Our driver was excellent and the guides were amazing. Very professional and awesome tour!!
This was a wonderful experience!! The driver was very good and courteous and was waiting for us before the pick up time - he is an ambulance driver in Rome if you can imagine, so we were glad he was driving. The mozzarella tasting was perfectly timed for a nice breakfast and the guide was very interesting and informative. The lunch at the winery was really fantastic - great wine, great food, beautiful setting, wonderful tour guide. Herculaneum was a highlight - FAR less crowded than Pompeii and the frescoes and mosaics were much more impressive. We were all very glad we included that. I wish we had more time in Pompeii to visit the small museum before rushing off for lunch. If you want to see lots of artifacts discovered in the cities, visit the museum in Naples. A combo trip to include the museum would be amazing!
