Amazing and very well-qualified guide. Learned so much on the tour that I had not learned on previous tour of Pompeii. Could have used more water breaks.
Informational tour with Anna Sorrento. She was knowledgeable and friendly. We saw a large percentage of Pompeii in our 3 hour tour.
The meeting point was easy to find and the group size was okay with the tour path in mind. Our guide was Sergio and despite the blazing heat me and my friends had such a nice time. He was telling a story, rather then reading from a script, made jokes and explained everything in a very easy to follow way, as well as he looked like he was having fun with the facts he was sharing, which make things better. We saw all the notable buildings/sights at a good pace. Only 6 people of our originally group had villa of mistery included in the tour so the last hour felt almost like a mini private tour which gave us a bit of encouragement to ask questions and he was kind enought to answer. By the end we all realized that we had nearly no photos and we all had the same excuse - we were dead focused on what he was discribing and pointing at and we didn't want to miss it so we all kept our phones in our pockets. All in all absolutely worth it.
We managed to visit on one of the hottest days of the year, but still had a great tour with Jolanta! In order to see everything (Pompeii is much bigger than I realized), the pace was pretty quick, but she did a great job showing us a huge variety of things. She also gave us some tips for areas to visit after the tour was over and they were great! Definitely glad we had her guidance before continuing at our own pace.
We chose the 3 hour tour with an archeologist. He was one of the many who had excavated the site. His knowledge was amazing. It's a gem of a site to visit but you can't see it all in 3 hours. Not overcrowded even though we went in peak season, August 2026. Probably because it's so big. Don't try and do this on your own, you need a guide. Only downside is unbearable heat this time of year. I would go when it's cooler. Taxi service can be a rip off so agree price before you get in the cab. Public transport is much cheaper but hot and crowded. Trains stop right outside entrance. A must-do but plan carefully.
Our guide, Antoinetta, was clearly very knowledgeable and could provide so much interesting information. She mixed historical information with information about the everyday details of life for the people of Pompeii. An amazing location to visit and we would not have gained as much from our visit without a guide. The instructions on the booking were a bit confusing as they stated we needed to redeem our tickets beforehand, and we spent time searching where to do this, but it was not necessary.
Giulia was knowledgeable and brought the site to life! Highly recommend a guided tour over going without.
This was our 2nd guided tour of the Pompeii ruins. Communication with the tour operator was excellent. The tour guide Teresa was a superb guide, knowledgeable and adaptable to the very hot conditions and added humour also. A brilliant tour, would recommend.
Great tour! Our guide did amazing at navigating the crowds and staying in the shade while keeping the group engaged. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic experience!!!! Camillo (our guide) was very well-prepared and very nice! I recommend the 3-hour itinerary with the Villa of the Mysteries! Truly beautiful!
