Este tour de un día completo por los sitios del Patrimonio Mundial de Pompeya y Herculano comienza con una recogida en Nápoles y un traslado en autobús a las ruinas de Pompeya. Habrá un asistente turístico en el autobús durante esta parte de la excursión. Al llegar a Pompeya explorarás las ruinas durante unas 2 horas. Descubre las tradiciones y la vida cotidiana de los antiguos habitantes de Pompeya. Verás el gran teatro, la necrópolis, las termas y algunas de las increíbles casas que eran propiedad de los residentes más ricos. Disfrute de un almuerzo ligero incluido en un restaurante local. Después del almuerzo, diríjase a Herculano, donde tendrá la oportunidad de explorar las ruinas por su cuenta. Es posible observar la vida cotidiana de la población aquí aún más detallada que en Pompeya, ya que el barro y los escombros volcánicos que cubrieron la ciudad preservaron las estructuras y artefactos de Herculano.

Después de la última recogida, nos dirigiremos desde el centro de la ciudad de Nápoles hasta el parque arqueológico de Pompeya.
En el momento de la dramática erupción, Pompeya contaba con unos 11.000 habitantes, mientras que Herculano tenía una población de unas 5.000 personas. Varios emperadores y aristócratas tenían sus villas de vacaciones en estas ciudades. Un día, en el año 79 dC, varios metros de ceniza sepultaron toda la zona en cuestión de pocas horas. Siglos después, en 1748, bajo el gobierno de los Borbones, se iniciaron los trabajos de excavación. El descubrimiento fue recibido con entusiasmo ya que agregó una gran riqueza al reino e inspiró el movimiento neoclásico en Europa. Hoy en día, las ruinas de Pompeya se encuentran entre los sitios arqueológicos más visitados del mundo, mientras que Herculano se renueva por su Villa dei Papiri que contiene una biblioteca de más de 1800 papiros. Visita de las excavaciones (aprox. 2 h) y si el tiempo lo permite también de una fábrica de corales y camafeos para admirar el procedimiento de producción llevado a cabo por expertos artesanos.

Después del almuerzo en un restaurante local. Por la tarde, se dirigirá hacia las ruinas de Herculano.
Después de la visita a Herculano regreso a Nápoles en el mismo lugar que por la mañana.

This day was a good experience that we could recommend to you. The visit to Pompeii with our French-speaking guide was great (group of approx. 25 people), although 2 hours only allows you to visit a small part of the city, the locations were well chosen. Despite the lack of a French-speaking guide on-site at Herculaneum, our organizer guide Christianno was top-notch and did his best to find the solution that would suit us best! The only downside of the day: the meal. At the restaurant only 3 dish choices (margherita, schnitzel and frozen fries or pasta with tomato sauce) no choice for the appetizer or dessert, it's salad and vanilla ice cream. Few choices but it does the trick for a snack.

The tour was too slow. First of all, they changed our time. Later we understood why. From one group in English and other in Spanish, they made just one. The explanations from guides were too slow, and they repeated all twice, in Spanish and in English. This is a torture under this sun and heat. It was a moment I decided to go by myself and it was the best idea. Maria, the old lady in Ercolano, missed many points. My family stayed with her and they missed the best parts. I could see more things because I did it by myself. Also, it was a french family that had nothing in french. I had to help them with the translation. At the end they went also by theirselves. A shame. I will not recommend at all this tour.
