Itinerario
Nuestro recorrido comienza en la terminal de cruceros de Kingstown. Te llevaremos a través de nuestra capital, Kingstown. A medida que manejamos, se mostrará y se le dará información sobre algunos de los edificios más históricos, como la Estación Central de Policía, el Complejo Financiero, el Tribunal Supremo del Caribe Oriental y también nuestro Cenotafio.
Conduciremos a través de nuestra bulliciosa plaza del mercado donde muchos vendedores y agricultores que venden sus productos locales producen.
A medida que continuamos a través de nuestra ciudad capital, Kingstown, conduciremos por la calle de la iglesia o "calle trasera", como se llama localmente. Aquí se le mostrará y se le dará una breve historia sobre la iglesia metodista, así como la iglesia anglicana y católica romana.
Luego nos dirigiremos a Fort Charlotte. Fort Charlotte es una fortaleza de la época colonial británica, construida sobre una colina que domina el puerto y disfruta de una vista panorámica del lado de Sotavento de la isla, que incluye Kingstown, la isla Young, Bequia y también la famosa isla Mustique.
Después de nuestra parada en Fort Charlotte, nos uniremos a Leeward High, que ha sido rebautizada como Nelson Mandela Highway. Al pasar, podrá ver el Hospital Milton Cato Memorial, el Victoria Park, un pequeño estadio que también se conoce como Carnival City durante la temporada de Carnaval, el Jardín Botánico, que es el jardín más antiguo de su tipo en el hemisferio occidental. Zona industrial del parque de Campden y luego a la pintoresca bahía de Buccament. Haremos una parada rápida aquí para las fotos.
A poca distancia al norte de la bahía buccament se encuentra el asentamiento de Layou. Layou fue una de las primeras áreas de asentamiento de los franceses, quienes fueron los primeros europeos en establecerse en San Vicente y las Granadinas a principios del siglo XVIII. Incluso antes de eso, los caribes lo utilizaron como uno de sus asentamientos, como se desprende de los petroglifos que se encuentran en la zona. Haremos una parada aquí en Layou para las fotos.
Nuestra siguiente parada es el pueblo pesquero de Barrouallie. Barrouallie fue establecida por los colonos franceses en 1719, la primera colonia europea en San Vicente. Una vez fue la capital de San Vicente y las Granadinas. Con el resto de la isla, pasó de un lado a otro entre los franceses y los británicos, quedando finalmente en manos de este último. Dentro de la parroquia de Saint Patrick, Barrouallie es a la vez la ciudad más grande y la capital de la parroquia. La zona es conocida por la pesca y es famosa por "Blackfish". Debido a las montañas circundantes, la ciudad tiene la forma de un agujero que con el tiempo ha protegido a la ciudad de las erupciones volcánicas.
Nuestra siguiente parada será en la bahía de Wallilabou, donde se rodaron las escenas iniciales de la primera película de Los piratas del Caribe: La maldición de la perla negra. Es uno de los sitios más visitados por los pasajeros de cruceros.
A un tiro de piedra está el Wallilabou Heritage Park, que será nuestra próxima parada. Es una pequeña cascada. Los árboles grandes de Samaan cubren la piscina y sus áreas adyacentes, creando un microclima relativamente fresco para el área central del parque. Estas y otras plantas crean un hábitat para varias especies de aves.
Después de un tiempo divertido en Dark View Falls, luego haremos nuestro viaje de regreso a Buccament Beach, donde tendrá 1 hora para nadar o hacer snorkel.

Para los pasajeros de cruceros, nuestro punto de partida es la terminal de cruceros de Kingstown. Estaremos en el puerto poco después de que pase inmigración. Tan pronto como salga del edificio de la terminal, continúe caminando recto hacia la puerta 3, alguien de nuestro equipo mostrará un cartel con el logotipo de nuestra empresa. Our pirates of the Caribbean excursion was truly unforgettable.. Our guide "Chef" was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Everything was well-paced, giving my family time to relax and take it all in. I highly recommend this excursion—it’s a perfect way to experience the beauty of the island.
Great tour at a very low price compared to others. It s basically gone around the island. The tour lasted 7 hours instead of 5.. a bit long without lunch, because the stops were 45 Min/1 hour instead of 15/30. Made a lot of bus (small max 22 people) on narrow roads and with many curves, up and down the hills but you saw a lot. Very good and nice driver and guide. Only in: left with 1 hour late and the stop at the beach terribe, to avoid: you have to bring towels, black sand no one has bathed and nothing much... it was preferable to return by ship...
Made a reservation 10 months ago. On the morning of the tour you will not find our reservation, taken hostage at the exit of the port not to go anyway with another operator. Taken away in the car, changed trucks three times. Since we could not go back because we were far from the port, we found ourselves on a tour that had already started halfway, completely different from the one booked. And finally paid full price, maybe even more than those who were on top of the bus. If you arrive by cruise ship stay in the ship, a stop to forget like the tour.
The tour as such was good, partly because you got to see something from the coast. The location itself doesn't show much of the location anymore, is quite touristy, costs additional admission, rather moderate. Afterwards we were still in a small pretty park (extra entrance), and then to swim on the beach. Fort Charlotte was interesting. Driver and guide were nice. Unfortunately, we, who were there at the beginning of the time window at the start of the tour, had to wait a long time for the start of the tour, probably also because the start time was described a bit fuzzy, and the last 5 guests only appeared at the end of the time window.
Learnt a lot about St Vincent and The Grenadines, it's sustainability, the fruits and vegetation on the island, it's people. We love St Vincent and the Grenadines and our guide assisted us in falling deeper in love with it. To you it off we visited Wallilabou Landing, where some parts of Pirates on the Carribean, The Black Pearl, were filmed. Truly beautiful island.
What an amazing tour. Wayne was polite and friendly on WhatsApp, making sure I had all the details I needed to join the tour. Deano was our driver and he was fantastic, as I was sat in the front I couldn’t always hear our guide, so he kept me informed. I didn’t catch our guides name, but she said “You can call me Sexy Lexi”. She too was amazing and so informative. My mum also loved it too. Definitely one to do if you’re a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean, and Topdawg Tours certainly make sure you have the best time.
This tour with Top Dawg was a great introduction to St Vincent and The Grenadines. Communication prior to the tour was also professional and detailed, which I really appreciated as a solo traveller. My guide Weena was so enthusiastic about showing us her country, and our driver Dino provided us with safe and comfortable transportation. The Pirates of the Caribbean site is worth visiting if you’re an enthusiast, but just bear in mind it’s not been maintained overly well since the movie was produced. It was still worth seeing, but just set your expectations. Overall, I would recommend this tour with Top Dawg for those with limited time on the island and for Pirates of the Caribbean enthusiasts.
"Topdawg" was an excellent driver. The roads are steep and winding, but we always felt safe. He even had time to dish out advice about horn use. The fort visit was educational. Not a lot to see at the Pirates site ($2 charge), but fun to play in the coffins. The waterfall stop was our highlight. We also stopped at a beach and learnt about whale catching!
