The place is beautiful but it was very, very hot and it had a funky smell. I did purchase the VIP balcony seats because it was my 40th anniversary and I got the downstairs instead.. I did notice that only one side had guests on the bottom Noone was upstairs. Disappointed! My choice for dinner was great but my husband and friends was Disappointed. The dancers and singers were amazing. Congrats to them.
I paid for the VIP package through Viator but didn’t get it. Viator made the error, not Piazzola Tango. This is the first time I have been disappointed with Viator. After I came to terms with it and sat at long tables, I enjoyed the rest of the evening..
Decent meal but a bit long when you arrive early. So don't come too soon Friendly evening. Casual and humorous tango lessons. Extraordinary dancers and choreographies. Really worth the entrance!
Fun lesson, good meal and very enjoyable show. Helpful transfer back to the cruise port ensured we all had a memorable night. The theatre was a little too warm so don’t over dress.
The company contacted me and said that we would be picked up between 7 PM and 7:45 PM and that we had five minutes once the driver arrived to get to the car. I was a little surprised with how big the arrival window was, but we went down in the lobby and waited From 7 PM until 7:42 PM when we were picked up. This was a VIP tango show, with dinner included at $360. For two people. Imagine our surprise, when the car that picked us up, which was a small car, then stopped five minutes later to pick up two additional riders. The car was small to begin with, and the two male riders that we picked up, were big guys. Considering the fact that we paid for what we thought was a private experience, I told them I didn’t think that we were going to have additional riders in the car. The manager of the company got on the phone with me and said that if I did not want to share a ride, we could get out and take an Uber. We went ahead and shared the ride, the two gentlemen that got in the car, speaking Russian smelled very strongly of cigarettes. The reason it’s important regarding sharing the car, is that an Uber would cost approximately $10 from the hotel to the venue. Considering the price of the tickets, you would think they would’ve sent a separate car for anyone purchasing tickets, certainly tickets at that price. We arrived at the venue, too late to take part in the tango dance lesson that was included with our tickets. We were seated in a lovely private balcony seat with a table, on a curved balcony. The waitress was very attentive, the menu was interesting, but I would recommend skipping the meal and eating somewhere before you arrive. The three course meal was edible, though I’m not sure it was worth the premium price that we paid. The show itself was interesting, I think I was expecting more of a Broadway presentation, but it was worthwhile to see once. The ride home was fine, the same driver who brought us there, he was a very polite man. He apologized for the confusion on the ride there, but then told us that we would be riding back with a different couple. They were very nice, we had a wonderful conversation with him on the way back to our hotel.
