We thoroughly enjoyed our fun and informative 2 hour tour of Penarth. Being a long time resident of the area I would recommend it to locals and visitors alike! Go on, give it a go!
Thanks, you were great company too.
Peter was a great guide for our group of teenagers and parents, none of whom were at all familiar with the area before the tour. We all gained a good understanding of the area, enjoying learning about the city's Industrial Revolution past, and admiring current structures and views. Would recommend!
Peter was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining and enthusiastic about this wonderful place, Penarth. We went on our extensive tour on our arrival to Wales and it helped us put perspective and plans in place for the rest of our exploration of Cardiff. He pointed out the history, development and amazing recent transformation of the city and its surroundings, and gave us some tips, which we wouldn’t have otherwise discovered as to other sights to see. Thoroughly recommend!
This walking tour was really nice. Peter was full of joy and was super engaging. We learned so much about Penarth and it’s history as we walked from The Old Custom House, around the bay, up through the neighborhoods, through parks and promenades and after a wonderful two hours we were pointed to the pubs to catch the Rugby game. We chose The Bear Head. Made for a lovely afternoon and would highly recommend this tour.
Peter’s knowledge of the local area and its history was engaging and fascinating ! There were so many places of interest that I otherwise wouldn’t have discovered. A very enjoyable walking tour, I thoroughly recommend .
This was an excellent way to spend 2 hours. Peter, the guide, gives a thoughtful walk through of the social geography of Penarth. His deep knowledge of the history of the region, indeed of Britain generally, means that he easily answers all sorts of questions - on architecture, on social structure, on historical politics, on culture: He loves and appreciates Penarth and this is very obvious. This is clearly a labour of love. I am so pleased that we did this- including my partner, who started off a bit skeptically, and ended wanting more. Thanks Peter.
Very enjoyable tour. Be aware that there are several hills on the walk but Peter will make allowances if necessary. There was no pressure to complete the tour within any specific time. We certainly saw and learned about parts of Penarth that most would never see. A very good tour and we would strongly reccommend it. Well done Peter!
Thanks so much.
Two hours plus of engaging conversation with Peter, who certainly knows his subject. Delightful walk for which we (wife and I) are now enriched. Hadn't heard of Dagger Town before, might pop into The Clive for a pint... Thanks Peter, we really enjoyed the walk. T&A
Very friendly guide very knowledgeable and patient when asked questions it was a pleasure to be white him
I visited Cardiff for work and had an afternoon free. My friend and I decided to take the tour as neither of us knew anything about the community. This was a fantastic walking tour of the Penarth with a knowledgeable and friendly guide who peeled away the industrial history and urban development not always visible today. The tour was a great way to spend the afternoon!
