Great day with private tour with personable and attentive Peter and Muscles, his BMW! Mornington Sanctuary was a success and saw all the key Australian animals. The sky ride provided beautiful views of the bay. They visit to the beach and huts was extremely enjoyable as well.
This was a great tour. I highly recommend it. I was thrilled to touch a koala! I I think the koala enjoyed us as well!
Very knowledgeable guide and easy going and friendly personality . He arrived on time and explained what we were seeing.
Peter went out of his way to make sure that he met our expectations. He met us at the pier and calmed our fears when we thought we would be late due to having to go through Australian Boarder Force before getting off the ship. We got to see Dendy Beach, Arthurs Pass, which had great views and Peter had a lunch for us of traditional Australian food that was sort of a "pub grub" or "beach grub" type. Nothing too exotic. It was a great way to see things that the ship excursions did not offer.
Peter (69 Tours) was an excellent guide. The pace of the tour was perfect, with ample time at each stop. The highlight of our trip was the Moonlit Sanctuary where we fed wallaby, kangaroos and we were able to pet a koala (koala experience was an extra charge not covered by tour). The sanctuary was not crowded and very fun visit — (Barry, Jimmy & Mary the wombats were super cute). Brighton Beach photo stop was nice and the Eagle aerial tram was peaceful & picturesque. Peter provided a nice picnic lunch to wrap up our day. The only bump was before the tour where it looked like our private tour was not going to be private, but Peter quickly resolved the issue. A great tour that our entire group recommends enthusiastically. Peter was personal, knowledgeable and professional.
We had a wonderful time on this tour. Peter did a great job showing us the sanctuary and the beach area. We enjoyed feeding the kangaroos and seeing all the animals. It’s a nice animal sanctuary where you can get close up and interact with the animals. Peter has a great knowledge about the Melbourne area and was lots of fun. We enjoyed the gondola ride and the great Aussie style lunch Peter provided. A really fun day!
Was supposed to be a private tour for the 4 of us and expanded to 2 mini vans (we were informed ahead and partly compensated). I asked for gluten free option for the lunch and there was none (luckily I had some protein bars with me). Apart from this the tour was perfect, enjoyable, allowed us to pack a lot in the few hours we were in Melbourne. Good memories. Must do (add on) the Koala experience.
Peter was an excellent guide for this 6 hour incredible private tour of the Mornington Peninsula. He was a wealth of information and his passion for what he does was clear. We particularly enjoyed learning so much about the area and Australia generally. There was no question he couldn't answer for us. This was one of our highlights during our trip to Melbourne/Yarra Valley and I would recommend Peter to anyone with an interest in a comfortable and memorable private tour of the area. If we had had more time, we would definitely have booked another private tour with him - he mentioned a Melbourne at Night tour and The Great Ocean Road.
Peter of 69 Tours was the guide for our private tour. Excellent tour. Being the only two on the tour, Peter flexed the tour when he saw what we were interested in. For example, although the focus of the trip was the Moonlit sanctuary, when he saw our interest in some of the houses in Brighton , he made stops for photos and drove us into that area to see more. He stopped and took us to Brighton beach to photograph the painted beach houses / sheds. The best part of the day was the Moonlit sanctuary. We got to feed and pet several kangaroos, including a large male and his mate . Also fed wallabies. Peter chose this sanctuary because it was a smaller one with fewer tourists, resulting in a more intimate experience than the one in Healesville. We were there on a hot weekday when school was in session. Often times , we three were alone while touring the sanctuary. After the sanctuary, Peter put us on the Eagle cable car up to Arthurs Seat. He drove off to get a traditional fish and chips picnic lunch while we rode up. He met us at the top at a picnic table. Instead of just water, Peter had a variety of drinks available for us. One tip, take more pictures from the cable car ride up. We had a car to ourselves, but thought we might get better views from the top. However the summit was overgrown with plants. Peter did stop on the drive back down for us to take additional pictures. Due to being tired on a hot day, we passed on the bush walk. Highly recommend this private nature tour!
