Max our ghost walk tour guide was amazing. She entertained us with her delivery of the stories and was very informative and knowledgeable. It was a great way to check out the town of Banff
Such a great way to hear about the history of Banff!! Highly recommend for those who love history, and doing something a little different. Max was a great guide!
Mike was great! We loved the tour and got to see some more of Banff. It made me want to visit some more sites before we leave.
During COVID, I purchased a horseback riding gift certificate with no expiration date for two reasons: to take advantage of the promotion and to support a struggling local tourism industry during a difficult time. About a year later, we booked and used two rides, and I believed we still had one remaining. In 2024, I followed up with the company and was reassured by email that we still had credit left that could be applied toward a future booking. Today, when I called to finally book the third ride, I was told that the employee who originally booked our first two rides had actually used all of the prepaid credit at that time, something I was never informed about. I was then told that not only was there no remaining ride or credit, but that there was still an outstanding balance owing. I completely understand that prices change over five years, and I was more than willing to pay the difference for the third ride. However, I do not think customers should be penalized for internal booking errors or miscommunications, especially after receiving confirmation years later that credit still remained on the account. I asked to speak with the manager, Lily, hoping to find a reasonable solution, but unfortunately no accommodation or resolution was offered. This situation appears to stem entirely from how the original booking was processed, yet the responsibility is being placed on the customer. As a disappointed local, I simply wanted to book an experience today and support the business again. Instead, I was left frustrated by poor customer service and a lack of accountability. With so many tour operators now available in the Banff region, businesses should handle misunderstandings fairly — not at the customer’s expense. To put it simply: I purchased three rides, used two, and reasonably believed I still had one remaining based on the company’s own communication. Years later, I’m being told otherwise and even informed that money is still owing. Very disappointing experience.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and frustration surrounding your gift certificate and booking history. Your gift card dates back nearly six years, and because of the age of the booking and the way the original rides were processed, it took our team longer than expected to fully review and understand the details. We understand how frustrating it must have been to receive conflicting information regarding the remaining credit. After carefully looking into the history of the booking, our team followed up with you directly by email and provided a promo code with remaining credit that can be applied toward a desired tour booking. While we recognize this situation was confusing, we truly appreciate your patience while we worked through the records to find a solution. We’re also very grateful for your support during the COVID period. Choosing to purchase with local businesses during that time meant a great deal to many tourism operators, including ours. We are sorry that this experience did not reflect the level of clarity and service we aim to provide. Thank you again for your feedback. It helps us improve how we manage long-term credits and guest communications moving forward.
This was a fun time, getting a small guided tour through parts of town, and stringing some enjoyable ghost stories in with some "spirited" delivery! Definitely bring a good jacket, a flashlight, and a coffee!
So much fun! Jen was the best. We learned Banff history as well as great storytelling. Thanks for the great evening.
Our tour was with Jack who was a great storyteller and very engaging! We had a great time and would recommend it for anyone looking for a little local history mixed with some spooky tales.
So informative and fun! Great info on Banff and cool stories! Jen was so fun to listen to and interact with
Wonderful tour and a great way to see downtown Banff! Very enjoyable ghost stories - highly recommend!
Interesting stories, jack (sp) was very animated and friendly! We left midway through due to the rainy, windy and cold weather, but that was not a reflection on the tour at all.
