Set up was a little hectic but the guide was absolutely amazing. He was sweet, knowledgeable and handled the horses beautifully. 10/10 for him!! 7/10 for the communication leading up to the event.
Outstanding peaceful ride. Sweet, gentle horses and knowledgeable guide. Great barbecue food at the end.
First, I want to say that this review is not a reflection of our guide, David. He was incredibly kind, professional, and made the experience as enjoyable as possible. He did a wonderful job and truly deserves recognition (and a raise!). That said, I do not feel that the “Sunset Ride and Barbecue” experience was worth the price. The horses were beautiful, well-trained, and clearly well cared for. However, the ride itself was not what was advertised. The website states that the ride lasts 1.5 hours, but we only rode a single trail that lasted approximately 30 minutes. The scenery was beautiful, so I have no complaints about the location, but the actual experience did not match the description provided. The barbecue portion was also disappointing. The food was served in to-go containers and was only lukewarm at best. Everything appeared to be pre-made, and the ribs were honestly some of the worst I’ve had. For the price of the excursion, I expected a much higher-quality meal and overall experience. Again, David was fantastic and is not the reason for this review. My concerns are with the experience as a whole. Unfortunately, I found the company to be somewhat lackluster, and I do not believe this excursion provides good value for the money.
We scheduled the sunset tour. The sun was up the entire time we were there. I thought we would cook dinner there but it was giving to us in a to go box. The tour guide was great!
This was our 1st Horse back trail ride. It was an amazing experience. The Gentleman who guided us was so nice and welcoming. The horses were amazing to ride on. Can't wait to go for another trail ride.
Per the request of the group organizer, I arrived at the provided GPS map location at 17:45 PM, 45 minutes early. The address and GPS coordinates for the start point land you in the middle of the road in the national park with nothing around you but trees and beautiful scenery. I used two GPS units to get me to the provided, designated location. They both landed me in the same place. And unfortunately when you arrive, there is no cell signal. Therefore you can't call the operation for a guide in assist. I drove a couple miles in multiple directions from the GPS location to cover the possible areas. No sign of horseback riding. I texted the organizer, which would not deliver until I dropped back down to 6000' where the cell phone repeaters chime in again with my two phones. I informed the organizer I'll be a no show and to proceed without me. Need better directions and communication about directions for this site. The road markings and signs are minimal at best. Unfortunate. Based on the surroundings, I imagine it would have been a beautiful ride.
Awesome views. Superb service. This is the best horseback ride in Las Vegas !!!! We went to another trail company the day prior that had us ride mules even though their ad said horses so we were disappointed.
Great views as you ride in the trees. Not far from Las Vegas strip and was nice and cool in the mountains. I suggest doing the overnight camping here. The dinner was so good with ribs baked beans corn on cob pie and cornbread. Just a real good dinner after a trail ride. Our guide was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable as this was my first horse ride.
