This was an amazing experience! We were worried we would get cancelled since we put in the order late at night around 12:30 am since we got to Nairobi super late. I woke up early in the morning hoping we got a confirmation and we did! I got the message around 1am! We were super happy. Jonathan was also kind enough to wait for us while we figured out our paying situation for the national park while he picked us up. The ride was nice. Jonathan was very kind and funny made the experience 10x better. He was also very well informed about the animals, so I highly recommend him! I also appreciate the water being bought for us and the patience while we shopped at the gift shops. He drive us through the park, got to see different birds, rhinos, crocs, two sneaky cats, and more. Then we went over to the elephant orphanage which was an amazing experience and then Jonathan took us to a delicious local lunch buffet, prices were amazing and the outside seating was gorgeous + a nice gift shop (which was kind of pricey hehe). Then we went over to the giraffes center and Jonathan got to exhibit his photography skills by taking some photos of us haha. We finally ended it by going to a woman’s bead making organizing which was wonderful and I got to buy some cute gifts! Overall great experience, highly recommended. If I’m ever back here I will be booking again!
We had an amazing safari experience. Jonathan was our tour guide, and he was the best. He was very knowledge in the wildlife and made several stops for us to appreciate the wildlife. Our group was the perfect size, and the length was more than enough to see several animals, the beads and leather factory, and the giraffe center. We stopped for some local food for lunch, and it was the best food that I have ever had. The price was very reasonable, too. I strongly recommend requesting Jonathan if possible!
I had a wonderful experience with Tishmac Safaris on the Nairobi Safari, Giraffe Centre, and Sheldrick Wildlife Trust tour. John our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The organizer tho was very poor with communication. Seeing the wildlife at Nairobi National Park was amazing, and visiting the Giraffe Centre and elephant orphanage was truly unforgettable. The tour was informative, fun, and ran smoothly from start to finish. I highly recommend Tishmac Safaris to anyone looking for a memorable wildlife experience in Nairobi!
I can’t rate the tour much, because it never picked us up. After an hour waiting, we managed to get through to the tour company (via WhatsApp, calling didn’t work, asking Viator for help didn’t work), who told us that my pickup was affected by an operational oversight. I am giving an extra star because they did apologise, did try to rectify the issue by rescheduling to another day and complementary mini-tour, but neither of those option really worked for us. We ended up getting a private tour through our hotel (more expensive, as you would expect), but apparently if we were in the park earlier we could have seen lions, so that was a bummer. I even tried to reach out to this tour company with questions a day or two before the tour (I had questions), Viator tried to reach them, and this still happened. Admittedly my booking was <48h notice. Anyway, if you do decide to book with this tour company, just expect some risk, especially if there is no communication from them beforehand. Would definitely recommend Sheldrick and the park tho, just maybe with another company.
It was a really great experience and my tour guide Jonathan was the best and extremely warm and welcoming! Saw a lot of animals, crazy how such a massive park sits in the middle of a city. Highlight was feeding the giraffes and seeing the zebras in the wild.
Excellent day trip! Kelvin and Haman were great guides and so lovely. Highly recommend.
It is very fascinating and offers more that the fee. The tour guide is well knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the captivating features to watch out for
Amazing visit to the Nairobi National Park, Sheldrick Trust and Giraffe Center. Unexpected stops for lunch at a roadside food stand with shops and a bead factory. Loved the safari and giraffe center!
Very enjoyable. Pick up and drop off at our hotel in Gigiri. Great driver. Very communicative. Nairobi national Park was wonderful. Lots of rhinos, giraffes, water buffalo, hippos, zebras, etc. Very interesting being so close to the city! The Giraffe, sanctuary and elephant orphanage are great. Don’t miss those! Just a heads up that admission to the national Park, the elephant orphanage, and the giraffe sanctuary are all extra. You can pay for the admission to the national park online (recommended) but admission to the elephant orphanage in a giraffe sanctuary need to be in cash to your driver. You will receive an message about this the day before the trip.
The tour starts early, but is so worth it. Our guide, Jonathan, was great and did his best to get us up close to the animals so we could take good pictures! He also shared some interesting facts and was excellent at identifying the animals we were seeing. In the national park, we were able to see lions, rhinos, water buffalo, hippos, crocs, giraffes, zebras, and so many types of antelope - well worth the trip! The elephants, baby rhino, and baby zebra at the elephant orphanage were so cute. Watching the elephants feed and frolic in the mud was a lot of fun. The giraffe centre was a quick visit, but again, memorable. Feeding the giraffes was a great experience and the people at the centre are helpful in guiding you to a good picture. Ended the day going to the bead and leather factory. The beads were all hand made and beautiful. Excellent day spent in Nairobi.
