París : Visita guiada por la Torre Eiffel en ascensor

I have a 2-year-old baby and for a reason beyond our control we arrived around the time for entry to the Eiffel Tower, we understand that the guide could not wait for us.. but how do we explain to a two-year-old child who is vomiting that he has to hurry.. we asked that at least they send us the tickets to enter and they treated us like animals… we asked for our money back and they got even crazier.. I sent them a video of my son vomiting at the base of the tower so they could see that we were not lying and what they did was block my WhatsApp contact.. in the end we paid 75 euros (2 adults and a 2-year-old child) to go up to the top of the tower, 1/3 of what we had paid this agency just to go up to the 2nd floor.. when we went up we met the guide, named Salomé, we told her to give us our tickets and she made a show and a scene in the middle of the tower as if she were acting in a play… screaming in front of everyone like an animal.. Anyway, this was my adventure and here is my experience.. everyone will know who they give their time and money to..

Our guide was knowledgeable and not only got us in quickly, but told us interesting facts and pointed out various landmarks.

Enjoyed learning about the Eiffel Tower and our guide was very nice. The issue we had was the very long lines to get on the elevators. It was a nightmare and we decided to forgo going up to the summit and left after getting to the second floor. The heat coupled with the madness of the lines made for less than an enjoyable experience. Nothing personal against the guide she was very helpful when we decided to ditch the waiting and the heat and helped us to exit as quickly as possible. There are other ways to get a Birds Eye view if the city of Paris and I would recommend doing one of those instead. For the price we paid ($600) for 4 people, I feel like there should be some kind of “fast pass” system for the elevators that would eliminate the extreme wait times. I had read in the description that there would be lines but I had no idea the challenge of getting onto the proper elevator would be that extreme.

The service we had contracted included, in addition to the entrance and ascent to the second floor with a guide, the ascent to the top of the Tower as well. This increased the price of the activity by €20 per person. Due to the heat wave, they completely canceled the activity (entrance + both ascents), refunding an amount that they deemed appropriate and, of course, well below what was paid in advance. The only explanation for our request for more information on this matter was, "We understand that this may be disappointing, but the decision is final." Pitiful.

Four days in advance, we contacted you to ask whether it would be possible to cancel our activity in Paris (the Eiffel Tower) or receive a voucher, as extreme heat was forecast in Paris. My sister is pregnant, and our group also includes two people over the age of 60. The Moulin Rouge and other companies were understanding and offered us vouchers as a solution. GetYourGuide only offered us a 50% refund, which would have meant losing more than €400. As a result, we felt we had no choice but to proceed with our trip to Paris. On the day of the activity itself (June 25), GetYourGuide cancelled our booking, and we were not even given the option to reschedule. What was supposed to be one of the highlights of our trip turned into our biggest disappointment. Very little effort was made to find a satisfactory solution. If a reasonable solution had been offered in advance, we would not have travelled to Paris. We are extremely dissatisfied with GetYourGuide's customer service and with the lack of an appropriate solution to this situation.

This is the first time I’ve had a disappointing experience with a guide through GetYourGuide. Ana, from Panama, did not seem to have control of the group or pay enough attention to all participants, even though there were only about ten of us. She also appeared uninterested in presenting the history of the Eiffel Tower in an engaging and enjoyable way. As a result, the tour felt disorganized and lacked the enthusiasm and storytelling that I have come to expect from GetYourGuide experiences.

Terrible Experience. I booked an afternoon tour of the tower. When I got the confirmation the tour time said 11:15. My flight will just be landing. I attempted to amend the time like you can do on another site but you couldn't. I didn't make a mistake. I canceled so I could reschedule and was charged a 50% penalty. I scheduled and canceled in under 10 minutes. I called and emailed to talk with someone and explain the circumstances. All I got was an email stating their policy. Not very good customer service if you ask me. I made my reservation with the another company and had a great experience. Site much easier to navigate and options to make changes without a money grab.
