Very friendly driver (Hein), has been able to tell us a lot about the region. We were picked up directly from our quarters and brought back again. Enjoyed 3 wine tastings and 1 lunch at 3 top wineries in Stellenbosh region.

Nice private tour to excellent wineries. We could choose but since this was our first time we left it to them. And they chose nice locations. Not too busy but good

In March 2024 we did a great private wine tour with Camino wine Tours. Even the initial contact went extremely well. We immediately received an offer for our request. The entire process was always very professional and questions were answered promptly. Jan, our driver, picked us up on time. He drove us safely to the wineries. We were very impressed by his extensive knowledge of everything to do with wine and the history of South Africa. After this wine, we booked a trip to the Sedwick distillery. Everything went extremely well here too. Our driver was also a whisky connoisseur and was able to explain a lot of things worth knowing to us. We used Camino Tours for our girls' trip to Stellenbosch as well as Cape Point/Cape of Good Hope. We worked with Camino Tours to help design 3 days of sight seeing and wine tasting. We found Camino tours a pleasure to work with and they made our trip fantastic! We were picked up promptly in Cape Town and had our tour of the Cape including time with the penguins at Boulder's Beach. We were then dropped off at our hotel in Stellenbosch. The next 2 days were spent tasting wine around the region. We are big wine fans and asked for smaller wineries and a variety of tasting experiences. Camino tours did not disappoint! They arranged a great grouping of wines for us to taste. We also got a chance to meet with several wine makers. We also had very knowledgeable tour guide who educated us about the area and the South African wine industry. Our only regret was that we didn't get to stay longer! We loved being able to customize our tour and sit back and enjoy our time in the wine country of South Africa!

We had a wonderful day of touring the Stellenbosch area with Louis. He was on time and so accommodating to our requirements that he even worked around a family 70th birthday party. We had several restaurant options and the final choice at Longridge was probably the best dining experience we had in our three weeks in South Africa. We have no hesitations in recommending them to any traveller.

The tour with Jan was an amazing experience. His knowledge of the wine industry is wide and deep, because he is a winemaker and worked for various companies in Stellenbosch and other areas. The beauty of the area is unsurpassed and the wine estates are gorgeous. And of course the wines themselves were excellent. I could not have asked for more. He was professional, personable and so informative. What a way to spend a day.

Our private wine tour with tour guide Jan was unbelievably great. He picked us up at the agreed time at our guest house in Stellenbosch. Equipped with two small bottles of water and a chocolate, we explored the first winery. It was a small winery, but incredibly beautiful. Jan was able to captivate us throughout the tour with his extensive knowledge of wine production, the different grape varieties and the history of the wineries. After the first tasting in the small winery, there was another slightly larger one and then we were dropped off for a romantic meal at another winery. Pick-up there was also no problem. Jan arrived at the agreed time and the tasting continued. After we had visited the last winery including the tasting, Jan gave us a private tour of Stellenbosch, which was no less interesting. We both therefore have a clear recommendation and a must-have for every stay in Stellenbosch.

I think what we really loved about the wine tour was that it was super relaxed and engaging. Having heard about the trams and the intense tours it was quite relaxed. The selection of the wine farms were a combination of multiple things including how beautiful the property looked and we also went to a few of the upscale wine farms. The pleasant surprise was that the people in the tour were a mixed bunch. As a people person, I really enjoyed that. My wife enjoyed the wine!
