El mito de cómo se formó Roma está intrínsecamente ligado a este edificio único. Del Templo sagrado y los campos de Marte, originalmente fuera de las murallas de la ciudad de Roma, al fundador Rómulo. La estructura posterior de Augusto todavía se mantiene hoy en un estado perfecto, dos mil años después, gracias a la Iglesia en la que se ha convertido: en su interior converge el mundo de las Basílicas, paganas y cristianas. Las tumbas del Rey y la Reina y las formidables cenizas de Rafaelo yacen aquí para la eternidad.
El exterior del Panteón, sus columnas, la formación circular del templo, las capas de la historia explicadas (el monumento nos permite ver el pasado y así ayudarnos a visualizar lo que vendrá en el futuro. La cúpula con su sorprendente y único óculo (abierto al cielo) - el lugar donde Rómulo fue alcanzado por un rayo (según se dice).

Great tour of Pantheon! You do still line up to get entrance, but line moves fast and you go in as a group with your guide so a bit easier than just on your own. Tour guide gave a great tour with good explanations of everything inside. Gave us option of staying longer once tour was done.
Even though it was the first Sunday of the month so free entry, this guided tour was streamline not chaos with the increased number of people

Our private tour allowed us to receive much more information about the Pantheon and the smaller group was better for moving around in the crowds. It was our first day in Rome and our guide also gave us some great tips for Rome. The only issue was that our audio head-sets tended to 'drop in and out' quite a bit, which was a bit frustrating. Thank you to our guide who was let down a bit by the technology.
