Escápate de las agencias de turismo estándar y descubre Palermo SoHo desde una perspectiva antropológica. Este no es un tour pasivo de caminar y escuchar. Prepárese para charlar, cuestionar y discutir el pasado, presente y futuro del barrio “más cool” de Buenos Aires. Comenzando en el Distrito Arcos Premium Outlet y terminando en la vibrante Plaza Serrano, esta experiencia a pie es un viaje más allá de las fachadas de moda del SoHo de Palermo para descubrir el verdadero núcleo del barrio. ¿Qué tiene que ver el tren y el tranvía con el origen de este barrio? ¿Quiénes fueron sus primeros habitantes? ¿Cuándo Palermo se convirtió en “SoHo” y se llenó de turistas, bares y restaurantes “chic”, tostadas de aguacate y panaderías de masa madre? ¿Qué es la especulación inmobiliaria y por qué está relacionada con la devaluación del Peso Argentino? ¿Cuál es el problema con los dos tipos de cambio locos? Estas son solo algunas de las muchas preguntas que trataremos de responder en nuestro paseo por la parte más “hip” de Buenos Aires.

Nos vamos a encontrar en el Centro Comercial Arcos de Palermo
El antiguo edificio de bodegas GIOL, actualmente recilado en el Polo Científico Tecnológico. Hablaremos sobre el modo en que el barrio fue mutando, sobre todo en las últimas décadas.
Fundado en 1924 por inmigrantes, es un gran ejemplo de la masiva oleada de inmigrantes europeos que llegaron a la ciudad a comienzos del siglo XX.
Mate o café? Por qué Palermo Soho tiene tantas cafeterías? Intentaremos responder a estas preguntas para entender quiénes vivían en el barrio desde sus orígenes y quiénes viven hoy.
Cafeterías de moda y restaurantes mejor valorados a nivel mundial. ¿Es realmente digno?

Fundada en 1919 por inmigrantes judíos. Hablaremos sobre el inmenso aporte que la inmigración judía tuvo sobre el ethos porteño.

Fundada en 1970 por inmigrantes italianos, tendremos la posibilidad de probar uno de los helados más delicios del mundo!

We had a wonderful tour with Nicolas this morning. He has a very deep knowledge of BA and Argentinian history. Also had an excellent appreciation of Argentina from a "world" perspective. He was insightful about the social and cultural aspects of BA and the country. Nicolas was very engaging and professional. This a "must do" tour in BA.

Whatever you thought you knew about the history of Buenos Aires... We found out very quickly that there was a lot we did not know. Our guide was Nick, although he went by several other variations...lol. I believe he spoke five different languages and he was so knowledgeable and so fun to be with... It was strictly walking and it was in Palermo which is a very fun part, almost funky, of Buenos Aires.. A lot of old with the new, My friend and I are big history buffs and it was so interesting to learn the ins and outs about the neighborhood and the city. Our tour ended in a very eclectic part of Palermo where we end up staying for a few hours afterwards and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Nick was such a delight... Highly recommend!
