Gran parte del encanto del Algarve reside en su capacidad para ofrecer instalaciones turísticas de primera clase y, al mismo tiempo, conservar su propia identidad, fácilmente visible en los pueblos tradicionales y las actividades de la zona. El taller de Cerámica de Porches es uno de los mejores representantes de este arte y todavía hoy se utilizan muchos de los métodos tradicionales de elaboración. Puedes ver la cerámica hecha y pintada a mano por los artesanos. El pueblo pesquero de Benagil se alza sobre el Atlántico y una pequeña pero pintoresca playa, el sonido del Atlántico es la banda sonora ininterrumpida de las actividades del pueblo. Dirigiéndonos hacia la localidad de Carvoeiro, visitamos Algar Seco, donde se pueden ver las increíbles cuevas y grutas excavadas en la costa a lo largo de los siglos. Disfrute de un paseo por el pueblo de Ferragudo, a lo largo de las calles empedradas y hasta el pequeño puerto. Nuestra última parada es en una bodega donde podrás disfrutar de una visita guiada y degustar algunos de los vinos que se producen en esta región.

Sensational! The traditional handmade pottery at Porches Pottery, the exquisite Portuguese wines by Jose Manuel Cabrita, and the dazzling views of beaches and rock formations along the coast made for one incredible day. Ricardo, our tour guide, was simply amazing. He superbly guided us through some of the Algarve region’s most treasured sites. He truly made the day fun and exciting. This was a fun day and a great way for us to experience a little bit more of what the region has to offer.

Michael was our guide and very knowledgeable. Stopped and picked us fresh fennel and pepper plants and pointed out particular birds.

If you want to escape the all-inclusive package holidays at the hotel for a day and see something of the Algarve, this day tour along the coast is well advised. All the guides seemed nice and witty, but we were glad to have caught Miguel! Obrigada, Miguel! 🥲🫶🏼 Miguel showed and explained us a lot of the local flora (everyone has probably seen thyme and rosemary, but also almond and avocado trees?!) and fauna (even flamingos 🦩 😱) and so this day was a really exceptionally great one.

Great trip to some stunning scenery, photo opportunities and if course the winery. Our tour guide Michael was fantastic. Really informative and witty too. His local knowledge was actually the highlight of the trip. The weather wasn't great but this didn't deter us from enjoying the best of the beautiful scenery in the area. The winery was great too and we enjoyed a tasting of white, rosé and red. I recommend this day trip as a way to find out more about the area ocal history and customs of Portugal.

We had Peter as tourgide and this was a very nice experience! He knew a lot about the environment and has a good command of several languages (en/fr). Sufficient freedom at the various stops to look around yourself. Only at the Potery you only saw the women painting from a distance, this was not very special (on the site is called workshop) but in short it was definitely a successful day!
