Pailas Caminata es un sendero único porque es donde se pueden ver, oler y sentir los recursos volcánicos como laguna fumarólica, piscinas naturales de agua caliente y las piscinas de lodo llamadas Pailas de Barro del volcán más activo del país. Caminando por este increíble bosque, con árboles antiguos y vida silvestre como monos, agutíes, coatí mundi, pájaros, serpientes, y mucho más. La Cangreja Waterfall Hike es un sendero desafiante de 6,2 millas que muestra paisajes únicos, formaciones geológicas, exuberante selva tropical, vida silvestre local como arañas, aulladores, monos capuchinos de cara blanca, tucanes y especies nativas en aproximadamente 4 horas. Por último, una espectacular cascada de 130 pies La Cangreja, conocida por sus llamativas aguas azul turquesa, durante la estación seca. La cascada es un destino impresionante durante todo el año y ofrece una conexión perfecta con los amantes de la naturaleza, al aire libre, una oportunidad inolvidable para la vida silvestre, la fotografía y la exploración en uno de los entornos naturales más notables de Guanacaste.

Pailas caminata, un gran sendero del Rincón de la Vieja enemigo alrededor de 2 h a 3 h caminando por diferentes tipos de bosques llenos de paisajes salvajes, vistas, naturaleza, árboles viejos, y más. Como volcán activo aquí tendrás la oportunidad única de disfrutar y sentir los recursos volcánicos naturales salvajes como la laguna fumarólica, pequeño volcán cráter, y piscinas de humor son parte de la experiencia que obtendrás durante este recorrido, todos estos recursos son solo para ver y disfrutar, este es un parque nacional por esa razón es solo caminar por el magnífico volcán activo en Costa Rica. We visited and explored the volcano with our friends and our guide Alejandro, an unforgettable experience!!!
One of the most amazing adventures I had in CR. The trail is medium- hard but easy to do as you can stop at any point and rest and just enjoy nature. We had a really good time with the guide as he was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would love to go back and try other trails with this company. The cost is very affordable and the 3+ hour hike is completely doable.
We explored the trail that goes to La Cangreja Waterfall, it is a long hike of approximately 10 km for the entire route. It is a trail with ups and downs that tests each person's physical condition, which is worth it to get to see the impressive La Cangreja waterfall.
Excellent experience, a day full of positive energy and a lot of exercise. We were fortunate to see the tapir and the beauty of this place with spectacular weather. The guide Alejandro was very informative and kind.

Would have liked to know the amount of the park fees in advance. We did have to change locations due to the high waters but would have preferred to go somewhere we could get in the water. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the plants and animals (big & small) though. We definitely noticed and learned more than if we had been on our own.
We made a great excusion with John. The scenery was beautiful. Our guide was very interesting. He has a great knowledge of the nature and culture of his country. Great experience.
