Complejo Arqueológico de Pachacamac y Barranco
Descripción
Comienza el recorrido en Barranco, el suburbio más bohemio de Lima. Veremos el Parque Central de Barranco, su Biblioteca Municipal, el tradicional Puente de los Suspiros, las casas coloniales y su famoso bulevar. A continuación, conduciremos por la carretera de la costa del Pacífico Sur hasta Pachacamac, el centro ceremonial más importante de la costa peruana durante los tiempos preincaicos e incas. A lo largo de los siglos, Pachacamac fue ocupada por muchas civilizaciones andinas diferentes, como las de Lima, Wari, Ichma y, finalmente, por el Imperio Inca. Sin embargo, el Oráculo de Pachacamac siempre siguió siendo un centro religioso. Veremos varios templos y recintos piramidales de diferentes períodos de tiempo: el Adobitos y el Templo Viejo (I CAD), el Templo pintado (VIII CAD), una pirámide con una rampa (XIII CAD) y el Templo del Sol (XV CAD) . Además de las ruinas, también visitaremos un museo en el lugar que muestra cerámica, textiles, conchas y adornos de piedra, así como el ídolo de madera de Pachacamac encontrado durante las excavaciones (1938)

Pachacamac, el centro ceremonial más importante de la costa peruana durante los tiempos preincaicos e incas. Fue un importante sitio religioso preincaico.
El museo está organizado temáticamente mostrando toda la secuencia cultural del Santuario de Pachacamac, desde aproximadamente 200 d. C. hasta el establecimiento de los incas en 1470.

Diverse experience with a walking tour of Barranco area of Lima which gave us an insight into the diversity and artistic cultural aspects of this beautiful area. The trip out to Pachacamac was also fascinating and quite awe inspiring to understand how the site has been excavated and to gain knowledge of how these early races lived, created the temple and other areas of the and how they worshipped their gods. Our guide and driver were both knowledgeable and respectful of the location.

This is such a massive site that the vehicle takes everyone to different areas. Seeing the construction from different periods and people's id very informative.

The best tour we've had in Lima, Excellent guide with brilliant English and very informatitive in local knowledge and history, well rounded tour seeing the highlights of the area.
