Oculto en el corazón del centro de la ciudad de Amsterdam hay una pequeña maravilla: Nuestro Señor en el Museo del Ático. Los visitantes harán un viaje en una casa de canal única y bien conservada del siglo XVII. Los pasillos y escaleras estrechos conducen a viviendas, cocinas y camareros históricamente decorados, terminando en lo que es literalmente lo más destacado del museo : una iglesia completa en el ático.

Esta iglesia católica data de 1663. Mientras estaba prohibido celebrar misas, las autoridades se hicieron la vista gorda. De hecho, la iglesia simboliza la característica tolerancia (religiosa) de los Países Bajos, fundada en el siglo XVI por el holandés Willem of Orange. Hoy en día, la libertad religiosa y de conciencia son temas centrales en el museo. Esto hace de nuestro Señor en el Ático mucho más que un museo, es un lugar especial para contemplar y disfrutar. Extensión El Museo Ons Lieve Heer op Solder en Ámsterdam es el más antiguo de la ciudad, solo superada por el Museo Nacional de Ámsterdam. Un monumento único de la Edad de Oro, que se ha conservado en gran parte debido a las iniciativas de particulares. En el 2015, el monumento fue ampliado en un edificio adicional en el Oudezijds Voorburgwal 38, donde el nuevo portal de entrada fue fundado. Los dos edificios están conectados entre sí a través de un paso subterráneo. El Ons Lieve Heer op Solder ahora tiene su propio museo Situ, donde la historia es tangible y todo es viejo y auténtico. Donde los visitantes podrán explorar el edificio y su historia, donde incluso un enlace puede establecer un vínculo con acontecimientos actuales.

- El museo cuenta con guardarropa sin vigilancia, y taquilla gratuita donde puedes dejar tu abrigo y tu bolso o mochila. Las bolsas y mochilas no se pueden llevar al museo; el límite de tamaño para las bolsas (de mano) es formato A4.
- No te preocupes demasiado si no vas a llegar a tiempo, por lo general podemos acomodarte cuando llegues. Sin embargo, te animamos a permanecer lo más cerca posible de tu hora reservada, ya que nunca sabemos realmente lo ocupado que va a ser ese día.

Our visit exceeded our expectations. While we expected to see an interesting chapel, we didn’t expect to learn so much history and to be as impressed as we were with what we found there. Highly recommend!
Magnificent house/museum. You wouldn't imagine this from the street. House that has kept its authenticity. The audio guide is a real plus. A must-see.
This is a hidden gem and a very edifying experience, especially if you are Catholic or a Christian. The historical significance is also moving. This is a lesser known tourist destination also so it’s a great place to get away from the crowds.
This was very interesting. The self-guided tour provided a lot of information. A friend had recommended this site to us, we wouldn’t have known about it. It was very worthwhile to see!
Fantastic, really interesting to see how you would have lived in a traditional city house in Amsterdam a few hundred years ago. Then you get to the Church and wow a "How did they do that" moment. Well worth a visit if you have an hour to spare.

Surprising experience in the middle of Amsterdam that gives a good idea of what difference in religion can lead to.
Fabulous Museum. It was number 1 on my list to see. A dear friend recommended this museum. As a Roman Catholic, it was very important for me to see it. It was the number 1 reason I wanted to come.
This museum is strongly recommended, we really enjoyed our visit, but unfortunately we had to pay again as my transaction was showing pending, it didn’t clear until the next day and thought staff assured me they would refund my tickets if it went through they refused and suggested we get in touch with our 3rd party which is aviator, don’t know why it was delayed by pending.
A relative suggested we visit and we weren’t disappointed. It was fascinating to hear the history and see the church and realise this had also been someone’s house! Glad we took the time to visit. The audio system is very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. There’s a small cafe and we took time for a coffee when we’d finished. A word of warning, the steps are very steep.
