Descripción
Este tour es la extensión perfecta de nuestro Tour Clásico por la Ciudad e incluye las partes del sur de la "Ciudad Vieja" que no se visitan en los tours clásicos, y el castillo. Es una mezcla encantadora de historia, leyenda y tradición medieval. Como de costumbre, nos reunimos en la Plaza Preseren, desde donde caminamos directamente al patio interior del Ayuntamiento para escuchar historias fascinantes de días pasados y los payasos que dirigieron el espectáculo. Luego continuamos por la carretera del casco antiguo, pasando por varios puntos de interés en el camino, antes de llegar a la Fuente de Hércules en la Plaza del casco antiguo. Desde allí subimos por la carretera más antigua de Liubliana (siglo XVI) y subimos al Castillo a pie (fácil 12 minutos a pie, sin opción de funicular desde este lado de la colina), con otros puntos de interés y miradores en el camino. Terminamos en el castillo, donde visitamos el patio interior, varios salones, mazmorras, la capilla y las murallas para disfrutar de las mejores vistas de la ciudad. The tour of the old town and the castle was a very special experience. Our guide Domen presented the history of the Middle Ages in a very professional, interesting, and also humorous way, so the whole tour took place in a really pleasant atmosphere. At the same time, I was wondering why there was not even a short mention of the churches we had the opportunity to see, as they represent an important part of the city’s history and identity. Hi Thanks for the kind review. The churches were not mentioned because 1) We only have 2 hours and 2) We deal with the churches in our Classic Free Tour. The tour you took is usually taken as Part 2 of the Classic Tour. In any case, glad you enjoyed and welcome back anytime for the other tour
Lucy our tour guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Even in the pouring rain no one left the tour. I would recommend this tour if you visit Ljubljana.

A absolute must do in Ljubljana. Voyka was so enthusiastic to share stories from the medieval times which gave a good insight to the story. Loved the hike up to the castle.

I happened to find out about the Ljublijana Free Walking Tour from the Ljublijana Tourist Office and registered on the Ljublijana Free Tour website. I attended the Old Town and Castle Group Tour on Friday 5th September solo for the afternoon session, which was hosted by a very dynamic, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide called Lucy. The group itself was approximately 12 - 15 people, which was just the right size. Everyone met outside the Pink church in the main central square. Lucy paced the tour well, stopping at various places of interest, explaining the historical significance of buildings and statues, in a fun way involving the tourists. The highlight of the tour was walking up to the castle and appreciating the views of the castle. I was very impressed with how much preparation and energy Lucy brought to the tour she kindly arranged, considering it was free of charge! Of course I paid a donation to her at the end of the tour, for the entertaining tour she organised, as did many of the other tourists. I definitely recommend attending the Ljubljana free tours. which is a fun way to interactively explore the city with other tourists and the tour guide, whether a tourist attends solo or with family friends. 10/10 !
