Great tour! Host was exceptional. Highly recommend if you want to learn, laugh, and enjoy the views.
Nice experience, especially to help orient you to the tourist attractions on the banks of the Thames.
I booked this tour several months in advance, timed to end close to the start of our Tower of London tour. Start time for he river tour was 12:45pm. Our boat, the Silver Raven, was very nice. There were not a lot of people on this tour. Our tour guide and announcer on the boat did a great job. He was easy to understand over the PA system, and the info given was very interesting. I’m guessing the tour lasted about an hour. And info from the river tour site said that the Tower of London was about an 8 minute walk from where the river tour boards. I believe we bought this tour as something of a package, along with the actual Tower of London tour. The price for the river tour was fair. We had a nice time, and I would consider doing it again if I had the chance.
A very relaxed cruise along the river, with a good light-hearted and interesting commentary throughout. Clean and comfortable boat. Helpful and friendly staff. Overall a very enjoyable way to see London!
I took the river cruise with my 2 young grandkids. It was 40 minutes long - enough to keep them entertained. The journey was very pleasant. The guide was great in story telling. He was keen in responding to questions asked by visitors. He kept my grandchildren so focused. The views from the river were amazing. It was a nice way to relax after a long walk in London. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a bar for refreshments and snacks. A staff member walked around selling good value ice cream. I recommend this sightseeing experience.
A lovely relaxing start to our birthday weekend in London. Great to see landmarks from the water and feel like Elizabeth 1st floating down the Thames! The historical explanation was in person and she was great - informative and friendly. Didn’t realise there was a bar at the rear of the boat as a glass of fizz during the trip would have gone down a storm! We spotted some interesting pubs by the river and walked to them afterwards. Would recommend the trip. Dock at the front of The Tower Hotel right under Tower Bridge.
An excellent trip with good commentary. Access was very good as I have mobility issues.
Book through Travelzoo , excellent value with the promotion, very informative guide, clean toilets and a little bar. Thoroughly recommend.
Nice, calm ride up and back (about :40 mins). Great views of the major landmarks of London. Choice of indoor or outdoor seating once you get on the boat.
This was such an amazing experience. Lots to see in a gorgeous setting. The property is absolutely gorgeous! We didn't do a private tour and unless you really want to know all the details surrounding the Tower of London from a guide, I don't believe you need a private tour. In fact, you can get a headset and still learn all about the Castle without a guide. I went with a group of my friends and we explored it at our own pace, without a guide or headset, and still learned a lot in the areas we were curious about. There were plenty of reading plaques listed around the property describing what you were viewing, along with attendees standing around that could answer questions. The directional flow for people within each building was nicely set up. There are clear, defined routes in the direction throughout and set up in a way that doesn't have other people right on top of you. We truly enjoyed visiting the Tower of London and would do it again. I certainly recommend it to others.
