Really good experience, well worth the money Mook our guide was lovely and ensured we were looked after during the excursion. Canoing was amazing a gentle amble through the little amazon river lots of wildlife and soectacular views. The off road section was spectacular, with frequent stops to look at flora and fauna. The restaurant was in the middle of a fish lagoon and food was delicious. We didnt realise there was a temple visit and werent prepared as women need to ensure they are wearing trousers and shoulders, fortunately one of the other guests lianed my wife a towel so we could enjoy the experience in full. All in all a great trip, its a long day and rather tiring as it was 35 degrees celcius all day!! Well done team 😊
Rollo was a top guide, a great person who knows Thailand. The tour was varied and we were in beautiful places. Lunch was in a fantastically beautiful restaurant, secluded by the lake, the kayak drivers were also very sympathetic. In the description of the description it said that you still go swimming in a lake, but this was not offered, the temple which was visited is also rather mediocre but all in all it was a very nice and eventful day with a super guide.
Nice trip. Varied and engaging. The canoeing in the mangrove forest was nice. Driving to the falls was peppered with animal discovery. Our guide Anne had a good eye for finding animals. The lunch was very tasty and in a super nice location. Finally visited a temple. Unfortunately it was rainy season, which didn't really help us.
Did this tour on the 6th May 2025. Fantastic tour, worth every penny. Mike was a funny and knowledgeable guide. The driver was also great. The food and location was stunning. Highly recommend.
Whole family loved this trip! Relaxed but saw loads and the guide was great. Highly recommended for a great day out
We both had a fantastic experience, well worth the money all staff were great. Saw lots of wildlife & some beautiful scenery, plenty of drinks supplied throughout the day coke/water lunch is also included. We also liked that it wasn't very busy at the locations like many other tourist places.
Great day out (be prepared to be out for about 8 hours). The Thai tour guides are all wonderful, friendly helpful and polite. You'll be picked up at your hotel and get straight into your open top jeep. Then you'll be on your way off to the rain forest. The rain forest road is a bumpy, rocky ride with steep ravines on one side of the road. You do get bumped around quite a lot but you have a seat belt to wear. (If you have neck or back problems, this is not for you). At the top of the road you'll be getting off the jeep and venturing down a steep path towards the waterfall. There are fixed ropes and walking sticks to help you balance and get down. Be sure to wear a good pair of trainers for this part because the descent and ascent are steep and you can easily trip or fall. Anyone with knee, hip or back issues best avoid this. You will need to be reasonably fit to get down and then back up. If you are uncomfortable with this, stay in the jeep. We did not see much wildlife in the rain forest which was disappointing. We then drove lunch which was in a very lovely location and finally went canoeing in the mangrove. Very quiet and relaxing canoe journey where we saw families of monkeys. The drive back to Khao Lak is around 40 mins. An enjoyable day out but I'd recommend good trainers and advise people with joint problems to avoid it.
I did the trip via tui. Program does not match the description Long ride in the jeep of more than an hour than the rainforest in delicious because the rain came with buckets from heaven The road to the waterfall is hard especially if it had rained Then eating, That was okay and afternoon canoe trip But skipped because we were already soaking wet from the rain. Temple we did not see and were quickly taken to hotel All in all not recommended with bad weather would have liked the opportunity From more info about the weather and then make a choice Money not worth Description of the day is incorrect Drinking bar poorly cared for
We were picked up on time, in fact 10 minutes early which was good. The guide Aris was very informative throughout the whole trip, and very friendly. Our driver Mr Biy was a good driver and was as careful as he could be. The off road part is a bit bumpy, but I have 2 titanium rods on my spine and survived, so couldn't have been that bad. ( they do ask anyone if they have back issues before the start). The waterfall part is quite demanding with a steep walk down an uneven track, and the return trip will test the unfit. But the waterfall is cool and refreshing to have a dip in. The stop for food was good also, you even get an ice cream. Drinks were freely available all day coke or water which was needed frequently. After a stop at the temple, we were taken canoeing, and each canoe had a guide. They took us through the mangroves, and we saw a troop of monkeys which was great, us watching them watching us. This trip is well worth the money. We have been on quite a lot and this is up near the top for value for money.
Great trip with lots of information about nature, the country and the people. The team, consisting of Michael (guide) and Tawat (driver), work well together and make the tour a great experience!
