This experience was such a great way to see Assateague Island, the wild horses AND get some history about the inlet. Kathy was the BEST! She was friendly , funny and very knowledgeable. We were unsure if our two teenagers would enjoy this activity and they both thoroughly enjoyed it! Thank you!!
It was a nice ride, even though we saw the horses from very far away. Our guide Kathy was super nice and informative.
Cathy was our guide and she did a really good job showing us the normal spots for the horses, telling us about the geography, and was very entertaining and enthusiastic.
Such an awesome and informative experience. Definitely the highlight of our vacation. Kathy was excellent.
I went with my husband and my mother-in-law. All three of us had a good time. We got to see some birds. It was surprising seeing the herd of horses right by the water. I did not expect to see them so close up. The guide was well informed very friendly and answered lots questions. It looked like everyone in the boat was enjoying themselves thanks.
The weather happened to be perfect. Our guide, Patrick, as excellent. He was friendly, informational, and good at dealing with a kid who got off to a rough start. Patrick got us within several feet of the Assateague ponies and knew which one was which.
thanks for sharing your experience! Glad you had a great time...
The pontoon captain was very nice. She was very knowledgeable about the island, ponies, birds and the rich people living on the bay. Not exactly the experience I was looking for. I will most likely go with the Sea Rocket next time.
ok, yes, a nature cruise designed for getting families out on the water is not the same as the Sea Rocket... we agree. Glad you liked the captain!
This experience was a bucket list item of mine and it was awesome! The cruise was an hour but we learned about more than just the ponies, but the birds and other wildlife too. Kathy was exceptional as a tour guide. She enjoys her job and it makes it that much better. Would recommend 10/10!
Captain Patrick was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, great with kids, let them steer the boat. Very friendly. Only wish there was kids pricing. Overall excellent experience.
Great start to the day! Our captain, Kathy, was wonderful. She was very welcoming to everyone as we boarded. There were several young children on board and she spoke with all of them. She shared a lot of information about the ponies, area birds and wildlife, and the community of Ocean City. We found the ponies in an area where we were able to stop and go ashore for photos. The trip was definitely worth the price. I’m very glad I booked it!
