It was a cute luau and pretty much what you'd expect out of a luau. The food was good and all you can eat. The drink options were also pretty good. Its listed as ocean front but it is actually overlooking the shipping harbor. It also faces west so the setting sun made it hard to see the stage at times. Once the sun went down and the true show started it was fine. The performers were great and engaged the audience well and took time for photos after the show.
Quite disappointed with this event.. For show only , email stated show starts promptly at 6-7:15. I was late and they were still having people on stage for hula dance around 6:05. show didnot start until 6:30. The show advertised a fire dance performance and there was a small dance performance with fire at the beginning. There was not a storyline related to the theme of a fire dance. The show had performers performing hula dance from each different islands and the dance didnot relate to the fire dance theme. The show was disjointed without a real theme connecting the performers and their hula dances. There was no admission and in between having another group dance, ashout out for people who were married. Its nice and I'm sure a way to engage the crowd and this again also highlighted how disjointed everything was! In my opinion, the advertisement was too much of a hype and didnot match what actually took place. A couple of positives: The opening hula dance was pretty good and the venue was nice. In summary,This was the first time I left a show early bc it was that un-entertaiing! A really disappointment. Would not recommend this to anyone. It's not worth your money.
If you agree to the webinar ensure that you get credit. I didn’t get credit for mine, but that didn’t ruin the experience.
It was very crowded and even though we got the upgrade to the Splash area and received 2 drink tickets each we were only able to get one because the lines were so long. Also the food wasn’t that great and we were told there was an” Arrayof desserts there was only 1inch squares of chocolate cake. I was expecting more especially for the price I paid.
Programming and entertainment was excellent. The food was ok. Not great. Had seating in the celebrity area which provided table service. Downside is it was a one time deal. If seconds or coffee was needed you had to get up and go get it yourself
Unless you buy the very expensive tickets you will sit way way way in the back. The food was not the best you also dont get to see the traditional way they make the pig nor do you see a pig. And the show was average. The pre activities they had were fun for the kids thats was probably the only part we liked.
Good amount of food, drinks were sweet, dances were good, pick up was late but other than that everything was fine
This was an unbelievably disappointing experience. My girlfriend and I researched numerous luau options before deciding on Ka Moana, largely because of what appeared to be honest and enthusiastic reviews online. Unfortunately, what we experienced felt like the epitome of a bait-and-switch. The food was mediocre at best and, more importantly, cold. Although the experience was advertised as “buffet style,” the food was practically cleared out after what amounted to a modest first-plate portion, making the buffet feel more like a single serving. The entertainment was equally disappointing. The performers did not appear to take the show seriously, and at one point, one of the performers was openly laughing and seemingly making a mockery of the dances. It was incredibly distracting and completely undermined what was supposed to be an immersive cultural experience. We were so underwhelmed and disappointed that we ultimately left early. We walked away feeling like we had wasted two hours of what had otherwise been an amazing vacation. At $220 per person, this experience was nowhere remotely close to being worth the price. Honestly, I would not consider it worth $60 per person. The Ka Moana luau was easily the lowlight of an otherwise fantastic trip. Save your money. There are countless other ways to spend two hours and $220 that will leave you with a much better experience.
Definitely not worth the money. Two tickets $300. Picked up and drove around town for an hour, late to the show. After arriving spent 20+mins in line just to get in. Paid for two drinks out of pocket, we chose the pineapple drinks, only for my daughter's pineapple to have a worm/caterpillar living in it. Very gross and killed our appetite. No apology just thrown another pineapple. Food was mediocre at best. Received multiple text messages before the show to upgrade or our seats would be the furthest from the stage, which they were. Very disappointing experience and not worth the money.
The show was amazing. The transportation that was provided caused us to miss the opening activities. Our photo was not taken with the performers like everyone else. The pre show activities were over with when we arrived. We had to rush to eat before the show began.
