Nueva York: Tour de Harlem y servicio evangélico

We had a small but truly wonderful experience in Harlem, including the church service. Our guide, Alex, was exceptionally well prepared — knowledgeable yet entertaining, and a gifted storyteller who spoke about the history and culture of this tradition-rich neighborhood with genuine passion and enthusiasm. Over the course of the four-hour tour, we gained a wealth of insight into Black America, the civil rights movement, the remarkable figures connected to it, and the Harlem Renaissance. Simply attending the church service without that context would have been enjoyable, but little more than surface-level entertainment. I found myself reflecting on and absorbing even more from the experience in the days that followed. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone visiting New York.

This is a history tour with wonderful Gospel music. Alex is very knowledgeable about the history of Harlem and you will be learning while you are seeing this area through a local’s eyes.

I really enjoyed the Harlem Tour, it was -an authentic, engaginy, and eye-opening experience. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate, not only about Harlem’s history but also about its culture, Music and community. The visit to the Gospel Church is absolutely exciting.

This tour was a great way to start my trip in NYC, the gospel choir experience was amazing! It was very lively & energetic, a key part of why I chose this tour. The tour guide was fantastic, he was very informative and took us on a decent walk around Harlem to see the sights like the Apollo theatre, and explained the local history along the way. Overall it was an awesome way to experience Harlem in a short space of time, I definitely recommend 🙂

We had the pleasure of spending two days in New York with Michela as our guide, and it was just a fantastic experience. Michela is very kind, super prepared and passionate: you can immediately feel how much she loves her work. He knows every corner of the city and manages to tell its story in an engaging, clear and never trivial way. Yesterday he accompanied us to discover the various neighborhoods of New York, including less touristy and more “authentic” areas, explaining everything with great professionalism and making us always feel safe. Today, in Harlem, he gave us an even more intense experience, culminating in an exciting and full of energy gospel mass: something we will hardly forget. Thanks to Michela we saw a real New York, rich in history, culture and contrasts, with different eyes. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to discover the city in depth, authentic and super interesting!

A truly fantastic experience. Accompanied by the experienced and passionate guide Erika, we took this tour in the Harlem neighborhood. Erika’s preparation and passion transported us completely within this fantastic neighborhood. From the strong emotion of the gospel mass to the stories about Malcolm X, we were able to fully immerse ourselves in the emotions of the time.

Church service was incredible and totally made our day. However, the tour itself was lacking in information. Our guide's Italian accent was very thick and hard to understand, especially through her microphone.

The church service was incredible. Very moving. The tour included stop at coffee shop which took 30 minutes. We paid for our own transportation, food and church donation.at $50/person it seemed a bit overpriced given that the guide really didn’t seem to be into it. but it’s NY. 😊

Discovery of Harlem neighborhood, totally redone, no feeling of insecurity during the day, the police are omnipresent, the chapels are simply beautiful and the gospel mass uncryable (no photos of mass is forbidden).
