Desde la Fortaleza Petrovaradin, tendrá una vista inolvidable de toda la ciudad de Novi Sad. Caminando por las calles más antiguas de la ”Atenas Serbia”, admirando magníficos edificios barrocos, clásicos, neogóticos y fachadas coloridas, te enamorarás de su atmósfera de gracia y de sus habitantes. La pausa para el almuerzo tradicional se planea alrededor de la 1 pm (gastos propios). Le mostraremos el parque nacional más antiguo de Serbia: Fruska Gora. Mientras disfrutamos de los paisajes de sus hermosas laderas, visitaremos el monasterio Krusedol o monasterio Nuevo Hopovo. Nuestra siguiente parada será la pequeña ciudad de Sremski Karlovci donde visitaremos la escuela secundaria más antigua de Serbia, la famosa fuente "4 leones", y la catedral ortodoxa. Al final de esta emocionante aventura, nos dirigimos a la bodega local. El rojo era una bebida favorita de la emperatriz María Teresa y la leyenda dice que se vendió en Titanic también!

Desde la Fortaleza de Petrovaradin, que nos espera, alzándose orgullosamente al borde de la orilla del río Danubio, tendrá una vista inolvidable de toda la ciudad de Novi Sad. Hace unos siglos la fortaleza fue la frontera entre oriente y occidente, entre dos grandes imperios, y aún, sus túneles subterráneos guardan muchos secretos. Hoy, uno de los festivales de música más grandes de Europa, “Exit”, se lleva a cabo entre sus fuertes muros.
Paseando por las calles más antiguas de Novi Sad, admirando magníficos edificios barrocos, clásicos, neogóticos y coloridas fachadas. Te enamorarás de su graciosa atmósfera y de sus habitantes que, aún en esta era de rápidas comunicaciones, han conservado la tranquilidad y la amabilidad natural. ¡Imagina cómo persuadieron a la emperatriz María Teresa para que les vendiera una ciudad por 80 000 florines húngaros! Y desde entonces fue el centro cultural de los serbios durante mucho tiempo, todavía llamada "Atenas serbia". La pausa para el almuerzo tradicional está prevista alrededor de la 1 pm (por cuenta propia).
Como guardián silencioso de la ciudad y de toda esta región, en una prehistoria lejana elevada como una isla desde el enorme mar de Panonia, se encuentra la montaña Fruska Gora, que es hoy el parque nacional más antiguo de Serbia. Mientras disfrutamos de los paisajes de sus hermosas laderas, visitaremos New Hopovo, uno de los monasterios ortodoxos más importantes de la montaña. Más profundo en el bosque encontraremos un monumento dedicado a los soldados caídos de la Segunda Guerra Mundial llamado simbólicamente: La Libertad.
Siguiendo las huellas de la mayor migración del pueblo serbio desde finales del siglo XVII, llegaremos a Sremski Karlovci. Caminando por la escuela secundaria más antigua de Serbia, la famosa fuente "4 leones" y la catedral ortodoxa, resolveremos el enigma: ¿Cuál es el otro Sol, que la gente de este pequeño e irresistible pueblo dice tener? Al final de esta emocionante aventura, nos dirigiremos a la bodega local donde, además de varios vinos de alta calidad, tendrá la oportunidad única de probar Bermet, un postre, vino especiado, hecho solo en esta región. ¡El rojo era la bebida favorita de la emperatriz María Teresa y la leyenda dice que también se vendió en el Titanic! Nota: la mayoría de las horas restantes las pasará en Novi Sad, ya que tiene tiempo libre para ir de compras y almorzar.

Milos was an excellent tour guide and a wealth of history and knowledge. Very interesting tour! There is more to Serbia than Belgrade, and this gives you a glimpse of it! The cat at the winery is so friendly! Very nice surprise to find lavender gelato in old Novi Sad!

I used the transfer in and out and private tour for two days both in Belgrade and to visit the surroundings of the city. The guide who accompanied us on both days, Nevena, was incredible, very knowledgeable about the history and an excellent person. Milos who made the transfer and guided us around the surroundings was very friendly and the vehicle was of excellent quality. I apologize first because I do not recall our tour guide's name, but if it is any consolation prize, I am still thinking about this tour enough to write this review a few weeks later. Prior to our visit to Serbia, I wasn't sure what to visit at first. A few Reddit threads I saw mentioned Novi Sad so we booked this tour because it sounded interesting. And it sure was, I felt by the end I knew a foundational about of Serbian history. As someone who loves history, this was important to me. I've worked as a tour guide in the past at museums and historic sites, and was genuinely amazed by our tour guide. The in-depth information he shared with us from start to finish was perfect. While Novi Sad and the monastery were the two main highlights that interested me, my favorite part ended up being the wine tasting. This is saying a lot because I am not a wine drinker. It was a great moment that we shared with everyone in our tour while learning a little bit about regional agriculture as we drank local wine and ate local cheese. It was also fantastic walking around Novi Sad on our own and with a mini tour. I do not believe it would've been the same if I visited without a guide. Our guide made sure we had an understanding of the impact of the Austro-Hungarian Empire on Serbia, which you could see built into the architecture of this city.
