Desde principios de septiembre hasta abril las posibilidades de ver la aurora boreal en el norte de Noruega son grandes. El tiempo (nubosidad) y el pronóstico geomagnético determinan a dónde nos lleva el camino en el día dado. Te llevaremos donde las posibilidades de cielo despejado son las mayores y las mejores ubicaciones para ver la aurora boreal. Entramos para encontrar la aurora boreal revisando más de 25 puntos diferentes. Algunas noches tenemos un regreso tarde a Bodo (como las 2 am). En las últimas temporadas hemos tenido una tasa de aciertos en torno al 88 %. Antes de que comience el viaje te aconsejaremos cómo son las posibilidades de ver las luces. Salimos de la ciudad en una cómoda furgoneta Mercedes 7 plazas (4WD) con techo solar panorámico.

Bodø está situado justo encima del círculo polar ártico, por lo que es un buen lugar para cazar la aurora boreal. Únase a nosotros en un safari en coche para grupos pequeños por la aurora boreal desde Bodø, donde nos aventuraremos en el campo después del anochecer.

We had a fantastic Northern Lights tour with Ivar! He took us to beautiful, quiet spots to view the Northern Lights and was able to tell us a bit about how they are formed. He also provided us with food and some snacks. In short, highly recommended if you are in Bodø and want to see the Northern Lights.

We had a 5 star experience. The night we were booked to go Ivar contacted us to say that the chances of seeing the lights was not good so he offered us the chance of taking the tour the following evening. Ivar brought us from to the forest to the shore to ensure that we got the best sighting possible of the lights so although the conditions weren’t ideal we got a good view of the Northern lights and he also provided us with photos of the trip a day later. Great experience with a very knowledgeable guide. Also the trip started at 7pm and Ivar dropped us at our ferry after 2 pm the following morning. Highly recommend

very experienced tour guide, even the weather is bad, but they still can find the aurora. it’s very luck tonight. we can see the beautiful aurora. and it’s small group tour with vehicles today just 5 people including me and my wife. very comfortable. i like the tour guide very much.

This small group aurora tour is well organized. The destination is a cloudless sky. The Giude knows his way around and knows which places to approach at the moment. I really liked the communication and flexibility in advance as well as the good mood during the trip. Good photos included. Should I go on holiday in Bodø again, I will book here again.
Vielen Danke! Es war ein tolles erlebnis! This was a great trip but took some time searching for the best places and finally we found them! Honestly our local knowledge of Nordland / Bodø and 20+yrs guiding (mainly day-time / daylight) help when we venture out in the dark - makes it easier to find the good spots. Photos are always included of course... Welcome back!

We had an amazing Northern Lights tour with Ivar in Bodø! It was a small group (5 people) and such a fun, personal experience. Ivar drove us all over the area hunting for the lights and even included us in watching the weather and data so we could understand what we were looking for. He took tons of great photos for us throughout the night, both candid shots and group photos. We also stopped to warm up with hot drinks and treats in the van while watching the lights, which was such a cozy and memorable moment. Ivar is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the outdoors and the northern lights. If you’re visiting Bodø and want a great adventure, I highly recommend booking a tour with him. Five stars all the way!

The excursion with Ivar was great! We saw the Northern Lights, after a beautiful and long drive through the Norwegian polar night. He did his best to find THE spot by checking different places, you feel that he is a real enthusiast. He also gave us valuable information for the scientific understanding of these phenomena, which I think was a little too abstract. To fill it all in, we had great photos! I recommend:) Thanks, Ivar.
Merci! We did find the Northern lights - which sometimes requires some effort from participants and the guide. Waiting, searching and trying to understand the local weather patterns along the coast in Northern Norway is very often challenging. Best case you can see Northern lights from Bodo town centre, `worst case` we need to find areas sheltered from incoming clouds. It`s a very interesting game - thanks joining and putting trust in our services!
My family and I had a fantastic Northern Lights tour on February 10, 2026. Ivar was the best driver and guide - very experienced in hunting northern lights. And he was really good at telling and explaining about the light and nature in Norway. And late in the evening Ivar found the most beautiful northern lights (and also algae), and we got many good photos home. All in all a really good trip, which we can warmly recommend.
Det er dejligt og sjovt at være dansk i Nord-Norge. Det er da slet ike så svært å forklare om nordlyset, men nogle ganger svært at finde det. Vi did it ;)
