This was such a great experience to learn about the cocoa, coffee and sugar canes in CR. Love that each category has its spotlight and there was so much tasting and sampling involved as well as hands on experience. Would def recommend to anyone even slightly interested!
My family had a great experience with our guide Danny. We learned a lot about the process of coffee and chocolate making. Danny took the time to answer questions and was patient and kind to our children, involving them in demonstrations and tastings. At the end was a nice gift shop to buy North Fields products . If you enjoy coffee or chocolate and have an afternoon free, I recommend North Fields as a destination. Easy to get to, knowledgeable staff, and good coffee and chocolate.
Great value for money! David was a great tour guide and super knowledgeable about the plantation. The coffee and chocolate was amazing, and the tour came with lots of samples as well. This was one of the highlights—- we all left full.

The tour was wonderful! Esteban was a fantastic tour guide - so informative, energetic, and FUN. He took time to answer questions and make sure everyone felt included in activities. We learned a lot and enjoyed beautiful scenery and delicious coffee and chocolate samples. Highly recommend!
Really excellent tour. Marcello (our guide) was extremely knowledgeable and the tour was really well organised moving between different areas of the plantation.
Fantastic experience for our family while visiting La Fortuna. Our guide David was so passionate about the plantation, and so knowledgeable about the growing methods, and we loved the hands on demos where we could all participate. Our tour lasted nearly 2 and 1/2 hours so great value for the money.
Very easy walk, umbrellas provided. Lots of great information on sustainable and generation farming. Lots of unique plants and wildlife to see as well. I was not expecting to see so many birds, and a sloth. Of course very tasty experience. Alberto was great.
