Se sabía que la playa de Omaha era el objetivo militar más difícil cuando se estaba planeando la invasión de Normandía. Para asegurarse de que las fuerzas aliadas la tomaran, se le asignaron los soldados más jóvenes y temerarios, la mayoría de ellos estadounidenses. Caminarás sobre las mismas arenas que ellos y conocerás sus actos de heroísmo y sacrificio.
Operación Overlord fue el nombre en clave dado a la invasión aliada del noroeste de Europa. Este museo tiene una colección inigualable de equipo militar que se utilizó para defender o atacar la costa de Normandía. Por ejemplo, un auténtico barco Higgins de tamaño completo, con la aleta delantera bajada, e impresionantes tanques Sherman y Panzer.
Esta Batería Alemana tiene un Búnker de Mando totalmente intacto y otros 3 búnkeres que todavía están armados hoy en día. Te subirás a los búnkeres con tu guía y descubrirás lo que pasó en la mañana del día D desde la perspectiva del Eje. Aprender sobre las defensas de Rommel conocido como el "Muro Atlántico".
Para el almuerzo, se detendrá en un restaurante de estilo familiar como l'Hostéière. En la costa no hay restaurantes de lujo. Solo hay pequeños lugares con alimentos locales frescos como ensaladas, tortillas, carnes a la parrilla y crepes. No incluimos su almuerzo en el precio de nuestro tour. Enzo was a fantastic guide. From the time he picked us up we was friendly and just the right amount energy considering the early time. On the drive up to Normandy he gave us information to prepare us for the day. Upon visiting the locations he gave us more detailed explanations of what occurred and then allowed us free time to explore on our own. I would highly recommend doing this tour with him to anyone who is interested.
It’s a 3 hour drive from Paris to Normandy. Do not depend on meeting point having coffee or pastries before you depart.
Christopher was an excellent guide. Just the right amount of background and detail, and every question we threw at him he was able to answer. Our group included myself, my husband, and our teenage children. Christopher kept the teenagers engaged by occasionally asking them questions. It was very appreciated. A short picnic of cookies and juice at the end of the day was a lovely way to wrap up the trip.

Great variety of sightseeing in one trip. Tour guide was friendly and really enjoyed the stops. Van was nice with AC in the 96 degree heat. Tour locations and time were well paired for a full day adventure.

Wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The small groups made such a difference at each of the stops. Each way stopped shortly as gas stations for water restrooms snacks. Beautiful ride and moving living history!

I had a fantastic tour of Normandy today with Christopher M., and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The entire day was exceptional from start to finish. The American Cemetery was especially moving—beautifully maintained and such a profound, meaningful place to visit.
